This place is a step above primitive camping but not much. The communal shower and bathroom was very dirty with clogged drains. It can be a long walk to a shower, and lines form for showers at peak times. Cabins were very basic. One electrical outlet, a safe, a food locker, and one lightbulb with bare wood floors. But, the... I was a little skeptical about this place because of some of the reviews but I was so, so happy with my experience at half dome village. We checked in late but had no problems at the desk. Staff was so friendly and helpful! They even helped us plan some adventures throughout the week. The food in the dining area... More

Camp Curry is the ideal place to stay in Yosemite Valley. It's central to most things, has a great eating options and it's cost effective. I love that it's a camping experience with basic modern desires. It's (as far as I know) the only place with a pool, which is helpful when the river is too cold to hang out... More

So Half Dome Village, formerly Curry Village was fantastic for what we needed to explore Yosemite. We booked in excess of 6 months prior to travel and were only able to secure a tent cabin, so book earlier if you require a cabin. The tent actually worked out really well, I just prefer to have a toilet to hand. Easy... More

Yosemite National Park lives up to all the hype, with spectacular views, great walks and stunning waterfalls. The camp is done well too, not infringing too much on the natural feel of the place. We stayed in a permanent tent, which is essentially an army canvas tent with a wooden floor, beds, lights, power and a heater. It was good... More

I only booked a tent in Half Dome Village as was unable to get two consecutive nights in any of the hotels for dates I wanted, and that was booking a year ahead! We arrived late and it was dark. Parking was difficult as car parks full. Check in was quick and efficient and a map helped us find the... More

So, I booked this for June 26-29. I had two single beds. I really enjoyed the location of the tent my friend and I were placed in. We were near a shower/bathroom and by the water fill station. The bear box was a great size and our stuff was kept safe. There is a safe inside. The bed is not... More

Yosemite is beautiful and at very short notice I had a spare night and day to travel out from San Francisco and it was well worth the trip. A trip to California is not complete without seeing Yosemite. The tents at half dome were great and will go back there next time ! Just need a plug to charge things... More

Half Dome Village (Camp Curry) has become a big marketing ploy. You are not allowed any food in the tents or to cook anything in the area of the tents. Most likely so animals aren't attracted, but right across the road are the actual camp sites in the valley where the smell of bacon being cooked was everywhere. A bear... More

We came to Yosemite as part of our honeymoon and one of the big things we had planned was climbing the Half Dome. We had booked one of the fancy hotels for two nights of our stay, but as we wanted to begin our hike at 5am, we thought we would stay here for two nights to enable us to... More
