Hi Was my 2nd time at Half dome. The good point are to be center into Yosemite valley and to get 3 food points and one grocery. Otherwise, the beds are really bad, the Check in is the minimum without enough info about the place and schedule.Such place is running by rules about smoking area, quite hours, etc People don... We spent three nights in half dome and loved it. Yosemite is simply breath taking and the village is ideally placed for you to discover the valley. The tents are basic, beds comfortable linen and towels provided. There are no cooking facilities in the tents so you are completely dependent on buying food on the restaurant or pizza place. I... There are lots of plus points about this campsite. It has a nice atmosphere and it is close to many trails. The tents are good and have a double bed inside. They also have a lockable bear-proof container outside the tent and I felt that a very good job of keeping bears away was being done. I felt quite safe.... More

We stayed there for one night and were really happy we did. The beds aren't terrible but it's not 5 star hotel bed either. It was so different and exciting to experience this. There's no signal, wifi or power outlets, so be prepared to spend quality time with those you go with. There's many places to eat, get groceries, or... More

Our family of 4 stayed for 2 nights in a tent at Half Dome Village. The tent itself was clean enough but for the price, the bedding could have been much better. Check in and out was remarkably easy and we didn't have a problem finding parking near our tent which was nice. There could have been some more benches... More

My family and I were planning to have a great vacation at Yosemite. This was going to be our 5th (or 6th) year here. We decided to hike up the Upper Yosemite Trail, a strenuous but picturesque trail. After that, we took the bus to Curry Village. That's when everything went wrong. A poster with the words "Half Dome Village"... More

Hello, I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations while you were here. The changing of the names is unfortunate but it is due to a copyright dispute. As for the Buffet and the Taqueria, both of those concepts changed about 5 years ago. The Taqueria was changed back to the original Hamburger Stand and the Buffet return... More

We stayed two nights at half dome village in early July and had a wonderful and memorable time with our family. The whole set up is really well thought out. Decent size cabins with comfy beds and cotton linen. Towels fresh every day. I wasn't looking forward to sharing a bathroom, but it was not a problem eve. With small... More

Yosemite was on my bucket list for a very long time and we really wanted to stay in the valley and experience this beautiful National park to the full. A friend of mine stayed at Half Dome Village (previously known as Curry Village) and she recommended the campground. It was one of the best experiences of my life. The location... More

This place is a step above primitive camping but not much. The communal shower and bathroom was very dirty with clogged drains. It can be a long walk to a shower, and lines form for showers at peak times. Cabins were very basic. One electrical outlet, a safe, a food locker, and one lightbulb with bare wood floors. But, the... I was a little skeptical about this place because of some of the reviews but I was so, so happy with my experience at half dome village. We checked in late but had no problems at the desk. Staff was so friendly and helpful! They even helped us plan some adventures throughout the week. The food in the dining area... More
