Over many years I have stayed in an assortment of accomodations in Yosemite Valley. I was not expecting nor wanting a chain type accomodation. But what I did expect was a certain degree of cleanliness as well as a property reasonably maintained. Stoneman House at Half Dome Village (Curry Village) was a serious disappointment. While I appreciated the location and... More

We stayed in one of the cabins, rather than a tent. It was charming and rustic - no tv and no wifi in the cabin. Incredibly comfortable with a fantastic power shower right in the heart of Yosemite valley. Great location and service was good. There were a number of food options - pizza as well as the grill. It... More

We visited over Labor Day weekend and it wasn't as busy as I had expected. I was previously concerned about it being insane due to it being a bank holiday weekend but even though it was very busy it was manageable and queues were never too long. We stayed in a tent cabin, inside is a bed, chair and shelf... More

We knew this was a camp,we have been camping for years. Firstly no one told us the name had changed from Curry Village, we arrived late in the afternoon, drove around and around, the traffic very heavy, eventually found someone who could tell us where to go. The Park is huge, make sure you have correct directions before you arrive.... More

We have just spent two nights in a cabin at Half Dome Village. First impressions are poor, the cabin wasn't very clean, the bed was old and sagged in the middle, no coffee or tea making facilities, fridge or even cups glasses or cutlery. The lack of facilities is, I suppose, a way of making you buy everything from the... More

I stayed at half dome village (curry village) this summer when I visited yosemite and housekeeping camp the previous summer, so I'm going to use this as an opportunity to compare the two. They were fairly similar in price, I think half dome village was about $25 more per night. For this you get a few more facilities. You are... More

We stayed here for 5 nights on our first trip to Yosemite this fall. It was our first time staying in a National Park let alone camping in one and despite some initial trepidation we loved the experience. The key to staying here is to keep in mind that this is a camping style experience - not a hotel experience.... More

We have travelled through the US now for 2 ½ weeks and during that time experienced accommodation in different towns, cities and three other national parks. We therefore believe we have a view as to what is good and reasonable and what is not. For example, we have stayed in Grand Canyon Village in Bright Angel Lodge. In both cases... More

I did not get to partake of everything because of an accident. The two things I did not like. I stayed in the tent cabins. You can not drive to them to unload so you are going to have to make a lot of trips back and forth. Second, the steps to the tent are narrow which was how I... More
