The location is excellent, close to hikes and food at Half Dome Village. We welcomed the electricity for our devices after a few days of camping, but the place is rustic at best. People were nice and the showers and bathroom were clean, but the hut area didn't seem clean. During the night something came in under/through the flaps and... More

Firstly this is camping so expect some dirt and expect wildlife. But this place offered a lot of luxury. In each "tent" there is a double bed, a bunk bed, 2 power sockets, table and chairs and a fire pit. You also have access to clean toilets and showers. I would recommend that you bring a torch per person, camp... More

While I have never been to a refugee camp not want to joke about that issue, these semi hut like camp structures are minimalist but not in the cool way. Enjoy these if you can't pitch a tent (guys and girls!) because all you have to do is park by your hut and unload your stuff. Bear locker and enclosed... More

We came there around 9 PM and this was our final option for a place to stay. It is very basic but clean. During the night it was really cold and you can't really close the "flaps" of the tent, just some strings you can put together. It didn't give me a really safe feeling with all the warnings of... Accommodation is rather sparse and quite pricey in Yosemite and this was the "cheapest" place to stay. I don't mind basic which this is, but even for a camp this place is dirty. The bathrooms are graffitied and full of cobwebs, the showers aren't much better and the water pressure is very poor. Don't imagine coming for a good shower... More

While I have been going to Yosemite since I was a kid, this was my first time staying at Housekeeping Camp. And a very pleasant surprise. Each unit has it's own private outside area and inside the "tents" are a couple of bunks with mattresses. If you didn't bring your own sleeping bags, sheets, etc., you can rent them at... More

Stayed a night after a 10 day hike on the John Muir Trail so a bed was a real bonus and no tent to put up. Hard to find location of site as no signs about. Good little shop for essentials and short walk to café.

We love campING, but coming from the UK didn't have the option. Booked a riverside unit which was in a fantastic position. We'd packed sleeping bags, after reading reviews and I was really glad as they'd run out of sleeping packs to hire. We also got the last stove, and would have been a bit stuck without this. We were blessed... More

First off - you could literally head straight to this campground with nothing but some cash and a few clothing items, and you could camp here comfortably for days. The units come with a full sized bed and 2 twin bunk beds, and you can rent pillows, sheets and blankets from the facility. I believe they also rent camp stoves.... More

We stayed here for two nights during our California road trip. To be fair we had been staying in holiday let's and hotels up to that point and the people who had obviously prepared to go there seemed fine. But still, it was literally 4 unmade beds in a three walled one curtained sided structure. We had no camping stuff... More
