We enjoyed our one night stay here - if was fun to sleep in the tents. Can get quite cold though so be prepared. It's quite s large camp though with over 200 tents all quite close together. Noise can be a factor as the tents are just canvas walls (of course). Good fun - and can be pretty neat... More

Spent 2 nights at Housekeeping Camp in August. We had such a wonderful time that we've already booked to come back to Yosemite, but for 5 nights this time! When we initially booked, it said that we could check in from 5, but we got there at 3 and had no problem checking in. The tent has a double bed... More

This is for those comfortable with rugged accommodation. It's not quite glamping, not quite camping. There's a fire pit to make s'mores and a bed with tarp doors. That's pretty much it. You wake up to the most amazing views of the valley. I don't mind not getting too much sleep for fear of bears tearing me apart if I... More

Having visited Yosemite Valley in 2001, on a road trip around the west coast, we only had a couple of hours here, and having already checked in to a motel outside the park we looked on with envious eyes at those preparing to bed down in the permanent tents that surrounded curry village. So when planning a return trip some... More

I'm not a nature type person. I prefer the luxuries of a warm, soft bed, room service and other amenities. When my 10-year-old said she wanted to go camping, and I couldn't talk her out of it, I grudgingly borrowed camping gear and resigned myself to three days of bug bites, sleeping in a tent and no bathrooms. Three days... More

The camp is locate inside the park and this is a great advantage. The accommodation is simple but satisfying, with comfortable beds. Overall the place is quite and pleasant. Showers and restrooms are clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there.

rained hard and entire site flooded - simple basic drainage engineering could fix this easily - building a campfire and cooking over it is a great experience and the bearproof storage is wonderfully functional

Staying at the housekeeping camp made it so much easier to camp. Just show up and relax. I tend to over pack and this way I could leave half my usual camping gear at home. Although if you have to buy supplies in the park they are way more expensive.

Great place to stay at with family - the Housekeeping Camp is perfect for camping without having to bring camping stuff. The views on the river and the campfires every night were great to sit around and talk!
