I Love Yosemite and truly enjoy staying at Housekeeping. I have gone several times and found this trip to be a blast. The site we were given 234 was good and away from everyone. The fire ring was in a good spot, the beds were cozy, in fact I have nothing bad to say about this trip. Wildlife was walking... More

I have personally stayed in all the accommodations in the Valley and Housekeeping is my favorite by far. That being said it is not for everybody, it really is a half step above camping. But if you want to be able to make your own meals and have a campfire at night it is your only choice.

The best part of Housekeeping camp is the location. You can't beat the views of Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and being surrounded by trees. The campsites themselves are not in the best shape. But we were lucky to be assigned spot (216) along the river. This made the difference in our experience. The river was emerald green. Making our 2... More

Great Don't get river sites, I want them all for me! Plan to see plague signs for Hantavirus that killed a few campers 4 years ago! Bears are active and aggressive if you leave food out for even a few minutes. Raccoons there are also aggressive. Mosquitos are very aggressive too. Look for rangers handing out $5,000 fines for food... More

I'd never stayed at Housekeeping before because I typically get a campsite, but this was a last minute trip and this was the only accommodation I could get at the time. On the plus side, the 3 cement walls insulate you a bit from noisy neighbors, and although you can hear your neighbors, it's not as loud and annoying as... More

I'm a huge fan of housekeeping camp. I didn't grow up tent camping and so am still learning how to do it well. So, this camp is a great compromise for me. The tent actually has 3 cement walls and floor with canvas roof and door. There is a bunk bed and double bed in each tent along with 3... More

We loved our stay in Housekeeping Camp! It was incredible to wake up with a view of those amazing mountains. This place is basically camping for people without a tent. The space is three cinder block walls, a canvas door and ceiling, and a small fenced patio area, and you share one wall with another cabin (which was mostly fine,... More

I had booked our trip for May back in January without doing too much research as I had found the dates I was looking for to be almost at capacity, and as time got closer I was worried about the condition of the camp. But I think the photos and reviews were all pretty accurate. Housekeeping camp turned out to... More

Had an awesome stay, but that's mostly because of the location and the total Yosemite experience. Very peaceful spot. No main shops or bars in this area, so very quiet. People respect each others privacy but if you want to you can meet lovely people as well. Echoing other reviewers: this is far from glamping. The cabins are very basic:... More

We are from Australia and were on a road trip and we wanted to stay in Yosemite. Didn't want to stay in motel accomodation and we didn't have camping gear so the housekeeping 'tents' were perfect for us. We had cabin 42 right next to the river and in my eyes it was one of the best ones locationwise. The... More
