The Ahwahnee is a fabulous, classic place to stay. The great fireplaces in public areas are a treat! Beds are comfortable. Staff is awesome. Yosemite is so beautiful. The Ahwahnee is a perfect place to stay to visit Yosemite!

The Ahwahnee is a great spot to get away to enjoy beautiful Yosemite National Park and the historic elegance of the hotel. The staff is very professional and friendly. The facilities have that classic elegance of years past. The setting is unmatched in splendor.

Not to be missed. The Ahwahnee is the classic "great lodge" and a national treasure. Great place for both family and friends... We have gone almost every year for the last five years. The only drawback is that the room costs are high, and probably not tenable for some families.

We look forward to spending our anniversary in Yosemite. One of the perks of going to this beautiful National Park is spending the night at the great historic Ahwahnee. The hotel is the best hotel in all of the National Parks. It's located right in the valley with views of the falls, Half Dome. Though a bit expensive it's worth...

Ahwahnee is a wonderful hotel with a friendly staff. It is, of course, the most luxurious hotel in the Valley (heated outdoor pool - whether it should be allowed in a National Park is a debate for another day - but is to just be enjoyed for now!) As the title states, the hotel needs to update / upgrade its...

Good morning Thingamagik, Thank you very much for your honest and constructive feedback about the mattresses. A good night's sleep is one of the basic expectations of a hotel and the mattress is certainly one of the biggest contributors to that. Each guest room received new mattresses in 2011 when we opened up after a rehabilitation and remodel. Then we...

We stayed in a perfect room. Our room faced Half Dome and shared access to a spacious balcony. While the winter rain prevented us from having daily breakfasts on the balcony, we enjoyed the occasional fresh air break and photo opp on the balcony. Everything from the staff to the amenities score top notch at the Ahwahnee. While most of...

What a fabulous once in a life time experience that I will return to do again and again. What a great National Park experience. Although a little expensive - Well worth it for the experience of a lifetime. I especially enjoyed the common areas with spectacular views and ambiance.

When the staff greet you with "Welcome Home!" they mean it. If you want to completely de-stress and relax, this is the place. The food is outstanding, the service is professional and "invisible", and the setting is one of a kind.

My husband stayed at the Ahwahnee for three nights for Valentine's weekend. We neglected to plan in advance, but after some determination in checking the website daily for about a week, I was able to score a cottage just days before the trip. Check in was a breeze and had help all along the way. I ordered the strawberries at...

The hotel by which old school hotels should be measured. Yosemite is as beautiful a spot as exists. The Ahwahnee is where to stay, if possible. Relax in the great hall while reading the morning paper or after dinner and hiking. Don't miss the afternoon tea in the Great Hall.
