We stayed three nights at the hotel and were pleased with the room.....large and somewhat remodeled....nice bed, large closet, good bathroom and really good daily cleaning service. However our dining experience got off to a rocky start.....we tried to make a reservation for 7:30 and were told that the bookings were full but we could stand in line and get... More

As a Valley resident, we USED to go up and have dinner or drinks in the lounge to the side of the main lobby. Have attended many "Bracebridge Dinners" there. On August 21,2014 we decided to go up again for the day. Walked into the lobby and saw that our lounge was under construction, so we opted to sit on... More

We stayed here for 3 nights while at Yosemite NP. Yes, it's expensive but the service from the staff is terrific. We stayed in a Classic 2 double bed room. We had lots of space, large enough closet to put our (3) suitcases and other bags for storage. The couch also pulled out into a single sized bed if needed.... More

Were the Majestic to advertise as "an excellent motel inside of a National Historic Landmark" building, or as "cabin quality rooms inside of historic structure" consumers would be better positioned to estimate whether the exorbitant cost for staying at the hotel is worth the value. Instead Majestic touts itself as "Yosemite’s only AAA Four-Diamond hotel—an honor bestowed only on the... More

The trick is getting a reservation. Its the only first class hotel anywhere close, and it of course has an ideal location. It recently changed management but so far so good. Yes it is pricey, but the alternatives are not in the same league.

We had dinner at The Majestic Yosemite Hotel aka The Ahwahnee, last night and it did not disappoint. My husband had the pasta special and I had most of the brussel sprouts hors dearves and much bread plus the wonderful old california beauty of the dining room.

Spent two nights at the hotel two couples, a lovely authentic place set in stunning surroundings. The lounge area is amazing with the hugh impressive fire places would be a great place to visit in the winter months. Sat at the table that the queen sat at when she visited which was rather nice. My only criticism is the fact... More

We stayed here for 4 nights, a family of 4 in one of the Cottages at the back of the hotel and we loved it. I have no idea why some people in the past have written poor reviews of this hotel as it is truly fantastic or at least it was for us. It's expensive, yes, but if you... More

Ask for room 247, the best views to awaken to. After a drink sit out on the pation in the early evening finish off with a Titos martini. you, or your family, may even spot some deer's. Relax you're in paradise.
