The Yosemite Valley Lodge was very comfortable and quiet! My daughter and I enjoyed the accommodations and the excellent location. The beds were very comfortable, and the sink outside of the toilet/shower room was very convenient for 2 girls to get ready. I usually request a top floor location to avoid any noise above, but since no rooms were available...

Few people, if any, stay here for reasons other than the amazing location in the truly amazing Yosemite valley. Yosemite is only second to Yellowstone in hierarchy of lower 48 national parks, when it comes to readily accessible natural beauty. For this reason, many people give this hotel ratings that reflect this and ignore the hotel's other aspects. Frankly speaking,...

We stayed two nights here at the Yosemite Valley Lodge. Our Aspen room was well appointed. It is located in close proximity to the lower falls' trailhead, also to the Yosemite Free shuttle stop #8 which is across from where the checkin is located. Room has a coffee maker, small fridge, heater, fan, and a very comfy bed. It also...

Directly across from the path to lower Yosemite Falls. Several buildings scattered around the main building. The layout can be confusing online but it is best to try to book a corner room, single floor building or a 2nd floor room. Some of the lower floor queen rooms face out to a walk way and are dark & small. Ask...

We stopped here for 3 nights in March 2017. Now, this place was not what I was expecting... On checking in we were directed to our "Lodge" which was a room in a cabin block. For some reason I was expecting a hotel so whilst this came as a surprise, the room was very nice indeed, extremely warm and cosy...

We stayed at the Yosemite (valley) Lodge for a night while exploring the National Park. In summary, the rooms are nicer than you might expect but very poor overall value for money (expect to pay for the privilege of staying in the heart of the valley) and the breakfast in the cafeteria is frankly disgusting! If you can manage to...

We stayed here for 4 nights. It was a treat to stay right in the park surrounded by such beautiful scenery! The room was very nice-rustic in decor. Room service staff were very responsive. We had a king room with refrigerator. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Our only frustrations were the following: 1) the parking was...

We stayed for 4 nights at the Lodge in the park, an advantage that cannot be overestimated when visiting Yosemite. Location given, though, I came with low expectations of the hotel due to other reviews. The reality was far better. It's a busy place with individual travelers and tour groups coming and going. Once you park your car, you do...

I'd already decided on that title when I realized the reviewer before me used the same, but I kept it because it's so true. It's all about the location. Now I'm not someone who flips out over a nice view from my hotel room. I honestly don't spend much time in my hotel room, and if I want a nice...

Staying inside the park really enhances the experience, and the best thing the Lodge has going for it is its location a few hundred yards from the base of Yosemite Falls. Beyond that, it is typical mid-60's national park lodge with dated furnishings and more of a feel of a roadside motel than a typical hotel in this price range....

“Second floor would be quieter since first floor would hear footsteps from above. If you want a view of the falls, need to request it.”
  • The fancy/schmancy HVAC unit. There is also a wall-mounted heater in the room next to the table
  • Bunk bed (bottom is a double)
  • Tiny fridge under the sink actually almost froze some of my soda cans!
  • Good water pressure and fast hot water
  • Small sink area and toilet/shower beyond
  • Queen bed
