My husband and I spent one night at the Ahwahnee and two nights at West High Sierra Bed and Breakfast on our trip to Yosemite. I had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast and was a little nervous but I am so glad I took the chance and stayed here. After staying in a room at the Ahwahnee for... More

We just returned to Wisconsin having spent four nights at the High Sierra B&B, July 2- 5, 2011. All things considered, our stay was superb. At the time when we sized up our lodging alternatives, in addition to the HS B&B, we also considered the possibility of staying at a fancy schmancy hotel in Yosemite Valley. In retrospect, our choice... More

Our stay at the B&B was lovely. The room we stayed in for 3 nights (room #2) was simple, clean, and comfortable. We spent our days rock-climbing, and were glad to come back after dinner to peace and quiet. The proprietor, Bob, was also very friendly and helpful - he suggested various hikes and shortcut trails that we enjoyed -... More

My entire trip to Yosemite was amazing but staying in a place within the Park that is not an actual camp site was a plus. This place gets booked a year in advance and I see why. This is the nicest place to stay within the Valley. The location is convenient and parking is easy. There is no internet or... More

My daughter and I stayed at the High Sierra and had an amazing time. The B&B was so comfy and peaceful, the bedroom was very spacious, the bed was super comfy and the view from the living room was spectacular (very worth the 88 steps that we had to climb to reach it!)! Karen makes very delicious, very filling breakfasts,... More

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon because of the location in the park. You don't have to go through the gates everyday. You are already in the park. The room is half way between Sequoia Grove and Yosemite Valley. Perfect! Bring Snacks! You can use the frig in the common area so take advantage of that. The owner... More

Yosemite can be a tough place to find accommodation but I'm really glad we ended up staying at High Sierra Bed & Breakfast. A great location away from the hectic Valley but still close enough to some great hikes and sights; High Sierra is a beautiful place to stay. What really made our stay though was the down home hospitality... More

First impressions were of a 3 story log cabin with views of National Park sure to be impressive. 88 steps to our rooms at the top!! The common area was clean and comfortable with a kitchenette, large dining table and lounge area . We mingled with the other guests (from the other 2 bedrooms) once they arrived and watched the... This B&B felt like home after the first night. You do have to climb 87 stairs to get to the top level, but the whole floor is for the guests, with a lovely common room, fridge, fireplace, TV, and balcony. We sat up nights talking with our engaging host, Karen, and other guests. The room was lovely and sparkling clean... More
