Actually booked High Sierra based on the reviews here and I was not disappointed. Phenomenal location with stunning views. Set right in the center of most destinations but up and away from any major destinations or groups so you have absolute peace and quiet to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Karen is a delight and aside from making a fantastic breakfast... More

This is our second visit to Yosemite High Sierra Sunset View Retreat, Karen's self catering apartment. We had such a good time in 2014 we were keen to return. The apartment is spotless and very well equipped. Karen is always such a good hostess and gave us excellent advice about wonderful walks we would never have found by ourselves. She... More

We stayed in the first floor apartment (still 55 steps up) at the High Sierra B&B in the residential area called Yosemite West about 30 minutes away of Yosemite Valley. Everything in the very well equipped 1 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment looked new and very clean. It is clear that Karen has tried very hard to provide everything a guest might... More

This B&B has a very unique setting and beautiful mountain views. The reason these views are so wonderful is the entrance is 88 stairs up from the street. Not a big deal for most folks. The rooms are very clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable. There is Wi-fi for e-mail purposes. Breakfast was hearty and plentiful. Karen the proprietor is... More

It is situated close to glacier point, an easy drive into the valley. I have usually stayed in curry village, so I found it nice to experience a less busy part of the park. It is nice to have extra space, like the living room and deck to relax in. The morning breakfasts are delicious.

Quite simply - the perfect experience from start to finish! We stayed 3 nights, and to be honest, we hadn't done a great deal of planning before our trip so were worried that we may not get everything you 'should' do in Yosemite done...as we hadn't planned our time much at all. We needn't have worried. Thanks to Karen &... More

We loved our stay here, Karen and her daughters added greatly to our experience of Yosemite. Location is great, maybe 20mins drive down to the Valley and close to the Glacier Point turning. Big home-cooked breakfasts and it was handy to have the sitting room with fridge and kettle available for guests to use. Yes there are lots of steps... More

My husband and myself stayed with Karen and her daughters for two days. It was a wonderful stay! Karen and her daughters were wonderful and full of good advice on what is best in the Park. The breakfasts were freshly cooked by Karen and it was always a good surprise in the morning! There were some cereals and fruits available... More

This place was absolute heaven! After San Fran and napa, this B&B up in the Yosemite mountains was a tranquil oasis of calm. It's a beautiful property run by the owner Karen and her girls. I can't say enough nice things about them. The girls are so sweet and helpful. The family's knowledge of the area is unrivalled. Don't take... More
