Okay, you don't stay here because of the comforts and modern amenities. You stay here because it is a national treasure and an architectural wonder. We had were here in May, just a couple of days after they opened for the season. Quite a difference from high season. We didn't even need reservations for the dining room. The room is...

We spent four nights and five days in Yellowstone recently and stayed in the Old Faithful Inn. This is the original inn and was nicely maintained. The common lobby area was unbelievable and in its original design. The room was small, but very nice and had a private bathroom. The dinning room at the OF Inn was great, and the...

We recently spent four nights in a queen geyserside room at the Old Faithful Inn. While not luxurious, the room was well appointed and very comfortable and included robes and in-room coffee service. We appreciated that our request for a 3rd floor room was honored and that we had such wonderful views of Old Faithful erupting. The only negative was...

We stayed in the new section of this hotel with Caravan tours. We were immediately struck by the beauty of the hotel design. We were treated to an interesting tour of the hotel by our Caravan guide which helped us to appreciate the history of the hotel and the antiques in it. Our room was small but functional. The location...

I wish we stayed here for more than 2 nights, even the kids said this. We are on a budget, and reserved one of the rooms without a bathroom (reservations made a year in advance). The tiled and fairly clean b-room was just a couple of doors away, no problem. They provide bathrobes (cute). It is a gorgeous and historic...

We stayed 2 nights in Old House rooms. I was not looking forward to sharing the bathroom but it was not a problem. The bathrooms were right down the hall and were very clean and modern(we are used to state park campground bathrooms). Bathrobes are provided for those late night/early morning trips and there are sinks in the rooms. One...

Stayed one night in the Old Faithful Inn. It is dated but comfortable. It is nostalgic lodging so be prepared that it doesn't look new. The beds were good and the windows large for views and great breeze. Take the tour of the Inn. Stay at least one night to experience the history of the old Faithful Inn. We were...

I had very low expectations for this hotel, in fact I was dreading staying there based on experiences I heard about. I was pleasantly surprised that it was clean and quiet and everything worked. Very expensive for a basic motel type room, but face it, you are paying for the location and the view, and what you get is a...

This inn is a sight in its own right, and many travelers through Yellowstone stop here to gape at the unique wooden-log construction in the remarkable lobby. The dining is also superb, and one cannot beat the location near Old Faithful and the Upper Geyser Basin. The only downside is price -- you can't have all this at Motel 6...

We had a suite with a view over Old Faithful (rm 2002 at end of hall). That alone could have made it worth a stay, but there were many pluses to this hotel. Let me start with the room...go in with low expectations and expect a big price shock and you will be fine. The rooms are very basic. Our...
