Grant Village is one of the two best campgrounds in Yellowstone Park, in my opinion. Grant Village sits on the shores of Yellowstone Lake and is surrounded by Lodge pole Pines. The lake itself is stunningly beautiful. Grant Village also has a gas station, two souvenir stores, some places to eat, and even showers. By the way, every night you... More

This is a campground in Grant Village, about 2 miles from West Thumb on beautiful Lake Yellowstone. There's over 400 sites, some of them for groups. None with electricity. I made my reservation way back at the end of December 2015 for 5 days in Sept. Xanterra is a private company that runs the campgrounds & unfortunately, does not accept... More

I made reservations at the Grant Village Campground in advance which is greatly recommended. I had to wait almost a month to get a campsite because they are in high demand during peak season. My site was for a tent in the K-Loop #395. This site was a roomy site and was listed for a small tent size, it was... More

Got a great spot for our tent and car in the B section of the campsite, short walk to the toilets. The check-in went smoothly and we received plenty of infos on bears and how my keep them away. Had to fish for details on restaurants and opening hours but otherwise all good. The showers that were outside the campsite... More

Great base location for your adventures in YS. We headed out each day to other areas of the park for hiking and wildlife, and found that the campground was a good central location. The sites are small, but that is to be expected given the popularity of YS. And although not super private, the campsite was really quiet. The bathrooms... More

This is the second year we have stayed at Grant Village and we have enjoyed our stay both times. Our site had lots of shade and plenty of space. We had shower vouchers for each day of our stay. It was a wonderful place to stay to tour Yellowstone for several days.

I expected not to be able to wash up or shower. I was surprised at all of the amenities GVC/Yellowstone has to offer. The only gripe for me was cold running water at the campsite. Grant Village has a laundry facility, showers with private stalls, a hairdryer on the wall. Showers are included w/reservation at Grant Village. They're not timed... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in late August. We had a "pull-through" site, however it was so small we ended up just pulling straight in, otherwise we didn't have enough room for our 5th wheel (25 ft) and pickup truck. Fortunately we had no one to our front side, as our neighbor to the back side had to wrangle... More

Ok, so it's ideally located to tour all the Yellowstone attractions but you don't get much for almost 40 dollars, just a patch of overused dust, a wobbly picnic bench with seats that are too low and a rest room with only one working tap (on my half of the loop). 2 free showers a day is useful but I... We stayed 2 nights after NPs in South Dakota, and was a little startled at how close all the sites are to each other, but it is pristine regardless of the volume. Bathrooms are clean too. Bear protocol is a bit of a pain but necessary. Moose and elk sightings. Lake Lodge at Grant Village serves an awesome hot buffet... More
