We stayed in the main house and all four rooms were beautiful. Our stay was on an exceptionally hot day making the presence of a swimming pool especially enjoyable. However, the tone of the visit was epitomized by fact that the owner found us after we had been biking for an hour and delivered some clothing that we had forgotten. Great... More

Bikers (the pedal kind) are the best! This delightful group of gentlemen were very early arriving to our B&B, but I was out running errands and going to an appointment. They busied themselves by taking in the sites in town and enjoying the shade from the trees in our yard. They enjoyed the pool, on my return, along with my... More

We spent two nights at VanCleef Homestead, and our room was cozy and quiet. Carol is an attentive host, and full of information. She asked what we'd like for breakfast each morning, and gave us lots of tips to get the most out of our stay. I think we had the biggest room in the house! The only thing I... More

Since I grew up in the area, it is easy to make recommendations for things to see and do. I love "showing" our guests the beauty of the area and lakes, and it is particularly rewarding when they heed my recommendations and have a great time! Kind reviews are the best compliment. By the way, the bath sink faucets are... More

Comfortable room, delicious and plentiful breakfast. Carol couldn't have been nicer...and more accommodating! Visited while touring Cayuga Wineries, so it was very convenient. Close to "town" (Seneca Falls). Would have made a nice walk, if we were motivated after sipping all day!

What better compliment than a wonderful review on Tripadvisor! Thank you for taking the time to tell other travelers about your experience. Many have found that we are a great location for whatever they want to do in the Finger Lakes, and a short walk to downtown restaurants is a pleasure on a beautiful day. We hope you will be... More

This review is long overdue. My husband and I visited VanCleef Homestead for our 4 year anniversary this past October (2015). We had such a wonderful stay that I knew I had to write a review in order to let others know about this gem! I did a great deal of research on B&Bs in the area before our trip... More

One of our very best B&B stays in a two month trip through eastern Canada and the US. We had a lovely large room, as well as use of a delightful and comfortable sitting room, with books and games a plenty. It was a short walk (UK standards!) to the historic downtown with a choice of places to eat. Lovely... More

Thank you for your wonderful compliment! I always enjoy folks from the UK, because you know a lovely B&B when you see it! It was a pleasure visiting with you . . . . something I enjoy during the quieter months of the year. I am so pleased that you had a pleasant and memorable stay. Thank you for taking... More

It is always a pleasure having guests who are celebrating an accomplishment like graduation! We strive for comfort, good food, and a warm environment so that the family feels like they are home away from home and don't have to worry about a thing. It is especially rewarding when first-time B&B guests have a great experience. Christmas decorations always make... More

We took up every bed in this beautiful and historic homestead. Carol was very accommodating in every respect and honored our special dietary needs, even having gluten free cookies for our arrival. It is always great fun hosting a group of friends set out to enjoy their experience - the history of our quaint little town, the local restaurants, and what we have to offer at VanCleef Homestead. Lively and friendly conversation over coffee and breakfast is a "norm". Thank you for your kind review. I will look forward to hosting your stay in the future! More

This large comfortable B & B was filled by our ten bikers as we took a respite from the Erie Canal Trail. The rooms were comfortable, clean and generally quiet. Attractions were easy walking distance. It's on a street of very rich looking homes with a variety of architecture.

It's always fun to host cycling groups who ride the Erie Canal Trail and appreciate the history of this area, and especially Seneca Falls. Eleven guests is typically more than I handle at one time. Preparing a hot breakfast for that many with dietary restrictions and a variety of beverages was a challenge, but it makes me be more creative!... More
