We decided to have a day out and visit some wineries and Watkins Glen and booked a night at The Gould. Upon arrival we were treated with respect and already impressed with the cleanliness of the foyer and professional manner of the man at the front desk. The room was gorgeous. Bed was extremely comfortable, decor beautiful. Unfortunately we had a family emergency and had to leave within three hours and went back to the front desk. They were extremely understanding and accommodating to us. In a chain hotel we wouldn't have had such an understanding and concerned staff. I would highly recommend The Gould. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism.
We stayed at Gould Hotel for a weekend at the FLX. It was nicely renovated and quiet, even on the weekend. The location is wonderful. It is central to the wine trails, walking distance to Women’s Rights National Park and its a Wonderful Life Museum.
We have stayed here many times while visiting the Finger Lakes/Wineries.... We always love to stay at the Guld for it’s boutique style feel... This time however, there notable differences in what we are used to...The restaurant/bar food menu is now extremely limited as to its choices... Although the food was good, the selection of choices has changed dramatically... The comforters are “tired” and should be replaced... there were no extra blankets in the room and the towels are no longer fresh and white...These are all little things that add up to a disappointment when considering a return reservation... I would like to acknowledge Rich at the bar, who is always so pleasant and did his best to provide outstanding service with minimal help.... It seems as though the staff has been reduced as well.... Perhaps it’s time for management to take a closer look before their loyal patrons seek other options.…
The Gould Hotel was a great place to celebrate New Year's Eve! While at the hotel it was filled with fun people, great drinks, delicious food, a rockin' band and their own ball drop! My room was modern, clean, and comfortable. Can't wait to spend NYE20 there!
Nice old, but renovated hotel in the heart or interesting Seneca Falls. I feel bad for anyone who stayed at a cookie cutter motel outside of town and passed up the Gould. The price was very reasonable, nice, simple menu in the bar. (They were out of fried cauliflower on the menu, but made it up especially for us, and it was great). Friendly and helpful staff. Comfy bed. 5 stars for value and experience.
