When you arrive at the hotel for your stay, don't be surprised when they tell you that the room you reserved three months prior, is no longer available. And when you demand that they correct the situation, they will tell you to take what they have or leave the premises. That is what Tony the manager conveyed to us when we arrived at the hotel. Tony wouldn't meet us at the hotel to discuss this, he conveyed that message by phone. Research the area and you will find that there is a Hampton Inn located very close to this place. The rooms are large and comfortable, the facility is very clean, and the people working there are very helpful and courteous. The three nights we were suppose to stay at the Gould was spent at the Hampton Inn.

The perfect place to stay!!! Rooms are spacious and clean with a newly remodelled vibe! Staff is super friendly and our stay included a continental breakfast every morning. The hotel’s restaurant had amazing food and great martinis!!! It’s perfectly located in the heart of Seneca Falls, in easy walking distance to all the fun shops, gorgeous century homes and historical museums.

My two sisters and I recently stayed here for a get together in the Finger Lakes. First, the ups...... our room was quiet, beds were very comfortable. We ate at the hotel restaurant - food was delicious and staff was very efficient and friendly. TV worked very well with plenty of channels. Now, the downs...... We reserved the room for the three of us a couple months in advance. We asked for a pullout sofa or cot and a refrigerator. Upon arrival, we discovered that we only had two bathroom sets of towels, and no fridge. The linens on the pullout sofa had not been changed from previous use (found hair and crumbs on them). We tried to call the front desk but the phone in the room didn't work. My sister went down to inquire and was told new towels, linens and fridge would be delivered soon. The linens and towels were brought to us fairly quickly, but we were told a fridge would not be available. As a result, we had throw out some snacks that we had brought that needed to be kept cold. We spent two nights there. During that time no staff entered out room to empty the trash or replace toiletries. We stayed here a year ago and had a much better experience.

Hotel is nice and is located right in Seneca falls. The rooms are small but clean. The beds are small and high up from the floor. If you are staying in a room facing the parking lot the fan from the kitchen is noisy and you can smell the food they are cooking in the room. For this reason I would not stay here unless we were facing the street. It is a very small town not much to do. No fridge in room.

The hotel has good and "not so good" points. The location is convenient as is parking. The entrance was pretty dark and gloomy, but the check in was easy. It would have been nice if the lobby had some literature, but nothing was available, and the girl at the desk was unable to answer any questions. The room was tiny, but clean and comfortable. The bed was fine and the room really had anything we could have needed...except...the sink in the bathroom was a pedestal with no place to do make up or hair. There was no housekeeping service , and the bar and restaurant were closed. Looks like they've decided to remain under Covid protocol, which is really unfortunate! The breakfast was meager, so we searched locally for somewhere that had a hot breakfast....not so easy. Overall, it was an okay stay, but not sure if we'd stay here again.

This hotel had limited staff but I’ve never seen anyone work any harder or care more about the customer experience!! Anthony was the General Manager and was super nice and accommodating!! Our room was clean and comfortable. We had dinner in the bar and we all thought is was good! 20 min from the wineries that we went to and 1/2 hr to Skanneatles for a visit in a cute town.

Very nice hotel! Very clean and comfortable! The beds are very comfortable! One of the best hotels we have been in! Oh yeah- the beds are a little high- so if you're not mobile- it's probably not for you!

This hotel is dirty and dilapidated. Expected a beautiful, clean and enjoyably serene visit but this was no where that. Found a large box AC unit on the floor next to our bed in our bedroom, exhaust tube out the window with cardboard filling in the rest of the window. Windows are not soundproof. Street construction on ALL four corners outside the hotel, told by the workers it will be one more year. You can hear the street crossing machine loud and clear, counting down the seconds to cross. Housekeeping is request only, but you have ask at the desk each day, if you can find a staff person at the desk. Clean rooms iffy at best. Continental breakfast is lame. Parking in front of hotel with 1-6am gets you a ticket. You need to park on the side. No one can give you advice on sights, restaurants, historic locations. You need to go across the street to the Visitors Center. For what I was charged, this was a rip off.

I came up to the finger lakes area to do some wine tours with friends. We stayed at the Gould Hotel, which was so adorable! The room was clean with such a cute, boutique feel. The front desk staff was always so friendly and super helpful whenever we needed something. The manager, Anthony, was very personable and ensured our stay was up to our expectations. One night, we decided to eat dinner in the restaurant. The food was fabulous! I was not expecting much for a hotel restaurant, but wow! Overall, this was a great experience and we will absolutely be back! I highly recommend this hotel!!!

On the second day of our 3 day stay, in the morning, the toilet backed up and would not flush. We should have been alert that there would be issues when there was a large plunger next to the toilet. After vainly attempting to get it to work, it was clear that the water pressure was not sufficient and that the front desk was not able to render immediate assistance. The smell was pervasive and remarked upon by other guests at breakfast. We were told to move our belongings to another smaller room, and after complaining about the situation we’re reimbursed $50.50.
