This B and B was lovely and the hosts were terrific. The bedroom was very comfortable and well decorated and there were lounges on each floor where you could relax. The breakfasts were as good as anywhere- especially the blueberry and lemon curd pastry- that was one of our best meals we had on a 3-week trip!
My wife and I stayed here while attending our grandson's graduation from nearby University of Cincinnati. Maria was a delightful hostess, very friendly and accommodating. Our room, on the top floor, was compact but comfortable, and the amenities, including a very nice bathroom, were top-notch. The best part was breakfast: Dutch baby pancakes, turkey sausage, fresh fruit, juice and excellent coffee, all fresh and presented beautifully. We are already planning when we can make a return trip to Cincinnati, just so we can stay here.
We love to travel, and this will be a place we stay again! Great location, delicious food and great host! The house was beautiful and the Swiss Family Robinson room was one of a kind, for sure. I enjoyed reading in bed in the natural light let in by all the windows and the breeze flowing through while listening to the birds outside!
Awesome B&B, beautiful early 1900 fully renovated home, clean and comfortable, beautifully decorated, Great breakfasts and Maria's hospitality was fantastic. Location is in the Gaslight District in a historic neighborhood close and convenient to the University of Cincinnati and Finley Market. Parking was free on the street in front. Always had parking spots available.
My husband and I stayed in the 4th floor room. It was absolutely beautiful as was the entire home. The owner greeted us at check-in to show us our room and she made our breakfast in the morning which was very tasty! We very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back.
Private entrance Beautiful room very interesting touches Adjoining sitting area and kitchen Breakfast delicious and plentiful We felt safe walking in the neighborhood Beautiful castles and historic homes to see Our host was so interesting we could have stayed for hours and talked Thank-you for sharing your home and adventures We have stayed at many B&Bs around the world and what we remember the most is the interaction and conversations with the hosts and other guests
My husband and I stayed at the Gaslight B&B for one night by mistake. I had inadvertently booked a room thinking our final destination was near Cincinnati. Turns out our final destination was near Cleveland...oops! Turned out just fine! We enjoyed the “Swiss Family Robinson Room” and a delicious breakfast. The room and rest of the B&B was clean. The view was awesome...we were definitely in the treetops. And we had enough time after breakfast to get to Cleveland. The conversation with Maria was lovely, like a beautiful friend we hadn’t seen in a “coons age”. Thanks Maria! God be with you. Pamelann
My husband and I stayed in the Swiss Family Robinson room for our anniversary and were charmed by the atmosphere and hospitality. From our initial greeting from Dog-in-Charge AJ, to Maria's welcome and tour, a comfortable and cozy night, and an outstanding breakfast with lively conversation, the entire stay was picture perfect. If you're tired of the usual chain hotels and tourist spots, book a getaway to this quaint neighborhood and delightful hidden gem.
We stayed on the top floor in the Swiss Family Robison room because it had a private, en-suite bath. View is nice and it’s quiet since on the top floor! We had concert tickets at the wonderful Ludlow Garage venue where we were able to make the quick walk to dinner and the concert venue in the Gaslight Village. Maria, the innkeeper and owner, was fun, full of energy, and makes an awesome breakfast. We were comfortable.
My husband and I spent three nights in the Swiss Family Robinson room this October and not only loved the room, but Maria who owns the B&B. Our conversations over breakfast were entertaining and filled with laughter and the meals were A+. AJ their pet golden retriever greeted us as we checked in and we adored him. We highly recommend this property and especially Maria, a talented cook with a beautiful personality. We will definitely come back next time we are in Cincinnati.
