    Unique and incredible hotel experience
This hotel is one of the most incredible and interesting hotels you could possibly stay at. The artwork at the hotel is absolutely top notch. I was just at the Smithsonian last month and saw several works at the hotel by the same artists who have works in the galleries in our nation’s capital. That is so amazing to me. People at the hotel were so friendly and professional. The valet parking works were busting their tails to get cars for everyone. Hotel staff was accommodating and gracious. Our son is obsessed with penguins. When Betty heard how much he loves penguins she gave him a penguin today! He took it to the zoo to see the real penguins and was so excited about that. I cannot say enough kind words about the hotel. If you are wondering if this hotel is worth it- it is worth every penny!
Hi Valerie, Thank you so much for such an amazing and thoughtful review. We are beaming! We could not be happier that you enjoyed your time with us at 21c Cincinnati. Please come see us again very soon. Have a fantastic weekend! Best, Darek Jerome Front Office Manager

Contemporary Hotel, Amazing Art Gallery, Quiet Rooms
My first stay at this boutique hotel and I loved it. The art was amazing, but the rooms were even better. The room was very large, clean, and nicely appointed. The bed was like sleeping in a cloud! The bathroom floor was heated and the walk-in shower was large with Rookwood tiles of body parts. The turn-down service was unexpected as were the chocolates left on the night stand, but quickly consumed. Even thought the location is in the central business district, surrounded by restaurants, across the street from the Aronoff Theater, once you get on the elevator and off the first floor, the hotel is as quiet as a mouse. Which was much welcomed and appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am just thrilled that you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back. Best Regards, Shelley Meszoly General Manager

Excellent location for attending the theatre
The 21 C Museum Hotel is a hip boutique hotel nestled across the street from the Proctor and Gamble theatre. Efficient valet with a friendly front desk check in experience. Cool artwork throughout on the 1st and 2nd floor. Room was comfortable and spacious but we had no view to speak of as it looked out into a brick wall. The nice sized bathroom had Malin & Goetz amenities that we actually enjoyed using. Great walk to access to some great restaurants close to hotel made it a perfect location for dinner and a show.

Josh 万酒兮🇺🇸: [Photo] Josh 万酒兮🇺🇸: [File] Josh 万酒兮🇺🇸: My stay at the 21C Museum Hotel in downtown Cincinnati was overall satisfactory in terms of cleanliness and room quality. However, I had an extremely disappointing experience that significantly impacted my trip. As someone traveling from China to Cincinnati, I relied heavily on my iPhone for essential tasks such as managing my funds and arranging transportation. Unfortunately, the charging port for iPhones in my room was broken, which I only discovered the morning after my arrival. This left me stranded without a functioning phone or any means to access my electronic funds. Considering the premium price of the hotel and its positive reviews, I was shocked to find myself in this situation. When I approached the hotel lobby for assistance and asked if I could borrow a charger, I was informed that I would need to purchase one for $20 USD. This was deeply frustrating, as my dead phone meant I couldn't access any funds, including the money required to buy a charger. I felt incredibly uncomfortable and isolated in an unfamiliar city. Fortunately, I found help at a nearby establishment, Nada, where they allowed me to charge my phone. While I am grateful for their assistance, I can't help but feel disappointed in the lack of empathy and understanding from the 21C Museum Hotel. Given the circumstances of their broken docking port, I expected more consideration and assistance. This experience has left me with a negative impression, and I would caution anyone considering this hotel to be aware of potential issues and the hotel's response to them. The situation I faced was not only inconvenient but also unnecessary, and it has unfortunately overshadowed the positive aspects of my stay.

Dear Josh, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. While I am happy to read that your overall stay was satisfactory, I am sincerely sorry that we disappointed you during your stay. You are absolutely correct that we could have resolved this issue for you quickly and with empathy for the situation. It was a complete miss on our part - especially with our docking station not working. Please know I have used your feedback as a training tool for our teammates so that this type of situation never happens again. I also asked our Engineering team to fix the docking station! Please know that this is certainly not the impression we want to leave you with. I would love the opportunity to make amends if you would consider it on your next return to Cincinnati. Please reach out to me directly if you are returning and I can assist you personally. Best Regards,

What a HUGE disappointment this hotel is. My friend and I were vacationing and exploring Cincinnati for the first time and decided to book a room at this hotel last minute because of the good reviews and that it was an art museum-my friend is an art teacher and was so excited to stay and explore all the art pieces the following morning. After exploring in the city all day, we arrived to the hotel and checked in around 11pm. When we arrived to our room the bed was poorly made; the sheets looked like they had been thrown on. One of the trash cans in the room was filled with trash and the other trash can had dental floss in it. The bath tube was dirty with stains in it. The vents were dirty with accumulating dust. Even as we walked to our room from the elevator, I noticed how visibly dirty and unkept the walls and hallways were. After being disgusted with the room condition, we went back down to the front desk to share of the room condition and ask for a different room. The front desk receptionist/night audit, Rukiya Briggs, apologized and gave us a new room assignment. Before we went up to the room, Rukiya asked the security supervisor, Jerry Cermak, to go check out the room to ensure it was ready for guests due to our first bad encounter. Jerry notified Rukiya that the room was ready and my friend and I proceeded to the new room assignment. I was not pleased that Jerry had to first inspect the room as ALL rooms for sale should be verified prior and I don't like the unsanitary nature of someone being in the guest room post cleaning, but we were exhausted and just wanted a clean room for sleep. Upon opening the door of the second assigned room, we were immediately overcome with the strong smell of sewer. My friend and I couldn't believe Jerry missed this odor and we headed back downstairs to notify Rukiya. After sharing the room condition and smell, we demanded a refund as we were not going to stay at this hotel. Our experience was so unfortunate and dissapointing- its a shame that such beautiful art pieces are housed inside such a unkept and dirty hotel.

A different vibe hotel. It is a hotel that you expect to see in West Hollywood or SoHo New York. My room and bathroom were large and the room was clean. The shower curtain should be longer so that water does not get on the floor. The upstairs bar was great. The margaritas were ok but I'm from Southern California and spoiled with the abundance of Mexican restaurants. Would I stay again? Yes

People are being pretty hard on this hotel. I stayed a whole week so feel I got a good sense of the place — overall had a good experience. Pros: Clean Daily housekeeping without having to request it Comfy bed/pillows Complimentary water and coffee in room (and coffee downstairs some mornings) Nice staff Fun artsy touches Walkable to restaurants/parks/attractions/free street car (loved Nada and Graeter’s Ice Cream!) Didn’t constantly hear other guests talking/banging around/slamming doors like some hotels Nice included toiletries Seemed more of an adult-oriented property — I don’t think I saw a single child in a whole week Cons: Restaurant was more like dinner-only fine dining so no breakfast/lunch/reasonably priced anything available on site Some noise/clanging around in my room that seemed related to the AC cutting on and off Valet only at $39/day gets exp No cozy workspaces in the lobby or anywhere besides your room to comfortably sit and work or socialize, etc. Couldn’t adjust water flow in the shower No pool or hot tub Would recommend if you get a decent rate. I don’t feel like this hotel is worth $350+ a night. But if you can stay under that go for it!

Went for a quick overnight concert. Love the hotel and restaurant in Nashville, so expected the same and was disappointed. The hotel was fine, but lacking in customer service. I expected the rooms to be cute, but they were just lipstick on an old building.

Nice hotel, upgraded to a king suite. Hotel is nice hip and modern room but doesn’t have the attention to detail nor customer service required for a hotel that wants to command $600 a night for a suite in Cincinnati, Ohio. Room was nice and large. Cool lights, big bathroom with big sink, good shower, large. Bed was comfortable as were pillows. Sufficiently dark. No usb ports, not even on electronics. One trash can in entirety of king suite. Two coffee cups and two glasses in entire king suite, table for 4. No complimentary waters. But there was a coffee maker with coffee. So coffee isn’t really complimentary or in the room if there’s no water to make it. Got a nice box of caramels and a note that said if we needed anything to let us know. Needed something to drink with the thoughtful caramels . . . Needed an ice bucket, needed a working phone, needed waters . . . Customer service in the hotel lobby was low effort. Lots of little issues and things missing in the room and hotel perhaps do not make this worth it’s cost just because there is an art gallery in the building and the rooms are hip. Was over $600 for a weekday night. Fridge didn’t work. Phone didn’t work. Had to go up and down elevator from 10 to talk to anyone. Had to track down an ice bucket and ice in a suite. No waters or bottled drinks are available to purchase in the store in the lobby. Lots of art for sale, and coffee drinks in a can, and alcohol but no bottled water. Restaurant closes at 10:30 pm. So drinks not an option there. Was told they have a filling station - fill what exactly? The two coffee cups in the room? Thank goodness for helpful valet that gave us 4 waters from his stash. He was surprised desk had none. No concierge. No spa services available despite having a spa and inquiring a week before the stay for a weekday massage - maybe the spa isn’t as staffed since Covid? If that’s the case, advise customers and adjust pricing accordingly. We stayed on the spa floor and didn’t see much of anything happening. Outside street noise of bucket drummer until about midnight. Wasn’t an issue for me, but the area can be busy with people from the central bus station nearby. Might want to avoid walking back and forth at night in that nearby area if skittish about transient or unhoused individuals. GenZ at reception desk seemed uninterested in providing any hospitality in the hospitality industry. 3 star level hotel service from reception. Very hip hotel with a cool gallery and nice rooms that are missing some attention to detail for the level of luxe the hotel wants to portray. Based on value for money, and customer service, would recommend visitors consider booking the AC instead.

My stay was way below average. Rooms not cared for, mine had all kinds of issues (all reported, but not all fixed) from a non-working safe deposit box, a flooding toilet and bathroom shower with broken ceiling lamps… to lousy housekeeping standards (towels in rags, trash not cleared, empty refillable shower products, etc.) The hotel also lacks enough dining options (room service hours of their only restaurant are a joke) and on top, the kitchen has some serious ventilation issues because the hotel lobby, hallways and elevators were invaded by an unbearable stink of fried fish. Clearly NOT what one expects of this once beloved chain of hotels, and way below what they used to stand for before the pandemic. Truly sad and disappointing.

First stay at this hotel. The art and style of 21c’s is fantastic. And I love the yellow penguins on top of the awning. The location is good. Short walk to the river and both stadiums. And close to many restaurants. The rooms are good sized. And l like the bathroom. Pretty sink and love love love the full size Malin & Goetz toiletries! The body part tiles are a neat way to bring art into the room. Nice towels and robes. I didn’t use the mini bar or Nespresso coffee maker but appreciate them. Overall nice hotel and I would stay again.
