We booked one of the larger rooms, which had individually controlled thermostats in the bath and main room, unlike most motels which have those blaring wall units. The room included an extended dressing area with wood paneling and a lovely glass block window. The bathroom was immaculate and also had a heat lamp, fan and glass cups (so sick of plastic). Shower was strong enough to exfoliate my skin. The motel does have a fantastic garden with a logia and outdoor dining tables and chairs, where we enjoyed our gourmet take-out dinner from one of Walla Walla's great restaurants.

I'd give this place 10 stars if possible. Our room was small but quite comfortable and furnished with two chairs and a desk in addition to the bed. This is an older property that has been kept up in excellent condition. The owners have created an oasis of a garden in the front of the hotel, complete with a small area with a gas grill and patio table for outdoor dining. There's also a picnic table and multiple chairs to accommodate many different parties of guests who can all enjoy the garden without being in one another's space. We stayed here two weeks. The owners are super friendly and helpful and had multiple great recommendations for things to see and do in the area. Highly recommend. The view of the hills of the Palouse from the garden is gorgeous. Both of us had the best sleep we have had in ages here.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon weekend along with a couple of friends, and we'll definitely be back. The one-bed room was small, but just enough size for the two of us. The front lawn has a nice view, and a few seating areas with tables, including a charcoal grill which we used to make dinner one night. It's just a few minutes from downtown. A cute breakfast spot is just a short walk away, and there's a gas station with a convenience store right next door. Albertson's grocery is really close by, too. The owners were all very kind and accomodating. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the string lights by the grill one night, and by the next night, they had them hooked back up for us. Save your money for the wineries and stay here!

Very glad you enjoyed your stay and took advantage of the yard. We now have the gas grill operational but will keep the charcoal one available as some like that better. Hope to see you again.

My favorite style of motel – drive up & park right at your room. On the outskirts of Walla Walla – east, close to the airport wine district. There’s a nice view of some low mountains. The room is small – the décor is really dated. The bathroom is small – with weird signage in the shower. It’d be nice to have more pillows. The charm of the place is that it’s more affordable than anywhere else in flush Walla Walla and it has a beautiful front yard, with lawn and views and benches and interesting people milling around (like bicyclists).

We enjoyed this motel and could park our vehicle in front of the room. We used the microwave to heat up dinner, then ate it on the picnic table in the garden near our room, so pleasant, perfect weather. The bed was comfortable, shower great, room small but no big deal, everything there and it was so clean. We are used to staying in a motorhome van so this was great. We walked to the Antique mall nearby. I highly recommend this motel if you want an old fashioned ambiance.

I travel solo since my wife died 3 years ago, but I insist on a clean room, comfortable bed, hot shower and morning coffee. I am not looking for luxury, but well-maintained and cared for motels often meet those standards at a fraction of most other hotels. I attended my grand daughter's commencement at Whitman College and it is not a walkable distance, but only 5 minutes from the campus by car. I was surprised and pleased with the friendly gentleman at the reception desk. This motel is family owned, and it shows in those details important to me, so I would recommend this motel to anyone.

This motel was so cute and welcoming. The beds were so comfortable and all the appliances worked great Including the shower. We had a 2 bed room and it was perfect! I loved how quaint it was and the staff made it quick and easy to check in and out. If you've come across the hotel looking for a short stay, I say go for it! We are glad we did

We were there for a family event / road trip from the Midwest. We try to stay in independent hotels / motels if possible. The room and staff were excellent and was run by a family. There is a small picnic area to dine or enjoy a beverage of your choice. You are about five minutes from grocery / drug stores. If in the area will stay, there again.

An old-fashioned motel, understated. Everything was perfectly clean. The laminate in the bathroom was brand new. Toilet and sink brand new. Bed was very comfortable with thick cotton sheets. Very simple but a great place to spend the night. We stayed in a dog friendly room. Can’t beat this for less than $100 a night!

We needed a room for one night and decided it was time to stay at the Garden Motel.

The price was right ($120 with taxes), the previous reviews were great, how could we lose? We didn't.

The hotel is everything it says that it is. Family run, clean, updated televisions and wifi. Real glass glasses in the bathroom. Ice cold AC, firm beds. Clean.

If you stay here, you win.

I would call the motel directly about pets. That is a very generic question, "Do you accept dogs?" Are you bringing in 14 Pit Bulls or one small little puppy? I would call them to discuss your unique circumstance.
