My wife and I always visited Gettysburg, PA and that started our love of the Civil War and it's history. After wanting to visit Vicksburg for years we finally made the trip and chose the Duff Green Mansion to stay for a weekend. I have to say that we were a little disappointed with Vicksburg as a historical Civil War... More

My wife and I spent one night at the Duff Green Mansion as part of our road trip from Atlanta to New Orleans. The Mansion is situated in a quiet neighbourhood but only a ten minute walk from Vicksburg centre. We stayed in the smallest room "little Annie room" but t was ideal. Very clean and comfortable. We did sneak... More

The Duff mansion was a wonderful choice! Annie's room is small but just right for our stay. Clean, quiet, spacious, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was a treat, too. The table is set with such elegance. David's tour after breakfast was very interesting, informative, and offered new insight on the Civil War. Meeting Harley was another... More

I am so glad that I stayed at this historic jewel. The hosts Rick and Harlee and their terrific staff went out of their way to ensure that that the other guests and I had a great visit. This is a grandly elegant antebellum mansion that has been beautifully restored and enhanced. Restaurants and Vicksburg's iconic courthouse and "Blues Road"... More

Just returned from a lovely 2 day stay at the Duff Green Mansion in Vicksburg, Ms. We stayed in the Dixie Room. Sparkling clean, comfortable king bed with luxury sheets, fabulous breakfast and staff waited on us hand and foot in the old Southern hospitality manner. Historic mansion newly remodeled and exquisitely decorated but maintaining the feel of an old... More

We stayed in the Duff suite on the third floor. Great room! Spacious, quiet, comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. I am lactose intolerant and they asked about my allergy and went out of their way to accommodate me. Everything was delicious. The tour of the mansion was really worth doing. It made our subsequent visit to the Vicksburg Military Park... More

I don't know why I don't stay in B&Bs more often. I always meet interesting people. I was joined for breakfast with travelers from New Zealand, Denmark and Germany. Worst part was I didn't have enough time to talk with everyone. My room was very comfortable. The tour of the house and the history of it and the city were... More

We did stay in the smallest room which was quite comfortable but others were bigger with more authentic furniture and character so if you can I suggest going for a bit better room. . The hotel was full of history and we enjoyed the tour given by the manager about the hotel. The breakfasts were really good and we felt... More

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Our Little Annie room is our economy room that we rent for a very low rate ($88). With your stay you enjoy the same breakfast as other guests and get to enjoy the property. We like giving this option to travelers on a budget, but yes - our other rooms are quite... More

This is a civil war mansion that is well restored. It is truly beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. The handiman even helped with my car problem! THere are many period antiques to see. It gives you feel for what life was like there at that time for the wealthy. Breakfast was truly excellent. Everything was first rate. It... More
