Such a beautiful home, a superb friendly staff. Had a wonderful experience at this very well maintained home. Visited other homes in the area, but not nearly as satisfied with what was seen and that was offered here at Anchuca. My wife & I had never stayed in a bed & breakfast before, therefore any other home in the area... More

I made my reservation by phone and the sweet lady that took my reservation asked if I would like to go ahead and make dinner reservations for one of the nights. (The skeptic in me thought, " oh goodness... they are trying to get folks to eat in their restaurant, it's probably not that great.") Shame on me!!! The food... More

We arrived late in the evening, tired, and didn't want to look around for dinner. The owners were ready to close the in house dinning, but they made an exception. The food was wonderful, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. We had a very comfortable room away from the main house that was well appointed. The grounds were... More

We were heading to Destin for vacation from Dallas and wanted to break up the trip so my husband researched area and found this. We stayed in what was the servant quarters. Had planned to go out that night but liked the place so well we stayed there for dinner. The breakfast is killer. We had such a good time... More

When we arrived the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely and refreshing. We stayed in the Davis Suite and it was just simply beautiful - although the antiques were not original everything was designed to look authentic (but with modern plumbing & electricity). Breakfast was delicious as well. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely stay here, the pool was lovely. Loved the house and all the history about it. I would recommend you stay here. We had a traditional breakfast and Lisa made us very welcome. There was no strict times for arrival or departure. The house was open all the time to view. The rooms were very clean and... More

It took several minutes on arrival to find anyone to show us to our room. My husband tried a couple of times to engage the woman in conversation but she made it clear she didn't want to chat - nice welcome! We stayed in the Wilson room in the main house, which is a museum piece and therefore looks great... More

We stayed in room 10 this time in the main house. We have stayed here about 10 times over the last several years. We love the people and the pools and the beauty and the history. We always meet interesting people here. Don't forget it is haunted!!!

We stayed in Jennies Room in the adjacent Carriage House. The room is well appointed and quite comfortable. We are not precious and do not expect to be welcomed with open arms, but the service throughout our stay - check in, at the evening meal, and check out - was efficient, but certainly not welcoming or friendly. At check-in in... More

This bed and breakfast turned out to be the highlight of our trip to Vicksburg! We stayed in the carriage house which has 4 separate rooms away from the main house. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Everything was perfect and my wife loved it !!! We took 20-30 pictures inside as well as 40 more outside. The breakfast... More
