We stayed at the Lotus the first two nights of our Hawaiian vacation after flying into Oahu. It's located at the very end of "the strip" so it's nice and quiet. We were on an upper floor, so the view from our room was spectacular (the beach as well as Diamond Head).

Wasn't sure about location upon arrival in the dark but woke up to awesome view of Diamond Head and ocean (granted, the high rises between the Lotus and the beach are a bit of a bummer). We stayed in this hotel one night on arrival in Honolulu and two nights on departure, and the property and staff really grew on... More

Pros -- It is a nice and well maintained hotel. It is at the "end" of Waikiki where it starts to become more residential -- so if you are looking for something away from the hustle and bustle this hotel is worth looking into. The staff was friendly and helpful. Cons -- if you are looking to go to the... More

Aloha...Just returned from staying at the Lotus for our 10th wedding anniversary. Our ocean view premium room (#1221) had the most amazing views - DEFINATELY worth the extra money. Room was very spacious and well presented. All the staff were so helpful, and the half hourly shuttle was used every day, as was the wifi, and we appreciated the bottle... More

The view of Diamond Head--unforgettable. Throwing open the doors to the lanai and sleeping with them open, waking to a cacophony of tropical bird song and sunrise over the mountains and ocean...unbelievable. Gorgeous hardwood floors and beautiful decor, plenty of room, coffee and wine to begin and end each day and a location on the cusp of everything. Do NOT... More

I had a lovely, too short stay at the Lotus two months back, and I would recommend this very affordable place to anyone looking for a low key, civilized place to stay in Waikiki. There are hundreds of hotels in Waikiki; most of the less expensive ones are in high-rise slabs on side streets away from the beach, and even... More

I am reviewing my second stay at what is now called the Lotus Honolulu -- and I still love it. Hope to be back next year as well. I appreciate all the small touches, like an attractive urn of water in the lobby during the day, and the cool and intimate lobby with lovely koa wood panels and some seating.... More

We were looking for a low key spot with access to the beach away from the concrete jungle of downtown Honolulu. The Lotus was amazing. We had a room on a low floor with a Diamondhead view - we were pleasantly surprised that we had a small view of the ocean as well (obviously, would have been better higher up,... More
