I travel to Hawaii 2 or 3 times a year on business and usually stay at the HHV. The rate there this time was too high so I searched Trip Advisor for a cheaper alternative. I chose the Lotus based on reviews and was very happy with the experience. First the staff were amazing- prompt, courteous and very very friendly....

The location is great, within walking distance of Waikiki but outside the busy area. Across from the park which is great for running. Not right on the beach but easy to get to. The staff is so nice and accommodating. Easy in and out access in comparison to some other hotels on Oahu. I will definitely stay here again.

I deliberately chose this hotel from trip advisor reviews. Do not really think the rating above 4 is warranted. Cannot criticise the staff in any way, as they were all helpful and polite. The room was on the corner and had wonderful views to Diamond Head, parkland across the road and glimpses of the ocean. Location is good as it...

The location is great, outside the tourist crush. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The fruit for breakfast was outstanding. We only spent one night on our way home, but would definitely return.

It's been 2 years since our last stay and we were happy to come back. Great chill vibes as soon as you drive up. Staff is great. Valet people are always greeting us with a smile and aloha. The Diamond Head view is wonderful. Awapuhi amenities were a nice treat along with the Illy espresso in room. Nice getaway location.

This is an old hotel that may have been an apartment block. The room photos make the rooms look bigger than they are. However it's still a nice hotel and it's away from the noise of the main strip. There's a small private beach, daily free wine service and really friendly helpful staff. Join their loyalty program for a free...

Next to the park with a view of Diamond Head. Quiet and relaxed yet walking distance to the attractions of Waikiki. Room was large, well designed and comfortable. Try to get a room away from the elevator. The opening and closing of the door is noisy. Staff was great. My biggest complaint is that with the resort fee. I realize...

Great location--just a few minutes walk from downtown but thankfully quiet/peaceful and away from the hubbub of the downtown area. The room has interior sliding wooden doors to cover the glass sliding doors (which go out to a patio), and this is a great idea, better than curtains, to improve sleep in the mornings. The room and bathroom were clean...

We chose this property for the location. It proved to be what we wanted and more. Our room was immaculate, spacious, and well appointed, with a beautiful view of Diamond Head. We enjoyed the peace and quiet afforded to us by the distance from the "madness" of Waikiki's shopping and tourist meccas. The nightly happy hour was a nice touch....

If at all possible, you should try and avoid Waikiki, which is now full of t-shirt shops, subways and other revolting fast-foods. Diamon Head, just east, provides beautiful beaches, without all the aggravation. This hotel is ideally located, though it should be noted that it is NOT directly on the beach, which is a short, 200 yards away. The hotel...
