Absolutely loved this hotel! Beautiful hotel, awesome staff & service & great amenities including live music!! I would definitely come back to this hotel and recommend it to others!! I can't wait to go back!
Nice to see the rooms newly renovated. We had an ocean view room which was really lovely. The renovations are great - finally some umbrellas around the pool and Bernard was a most attentive waiter (thank you!). One comment to make about the bathroom - travelling as friends there is no privacy at all with the only door being frosted glass so even when shut privacy is non existent. A dresser would also have been useful or a bigger set of drawers but otherwise a really nice stay. We will be back.
My husband and I traveled to Honolulu with my sister and brother-in-law and splurged on Ocean Tower Ocean View rooms. Worth every penny! First off, the room was lovely, with a most comfortable king-size bed, an ocean-facing lanai and the nicest, most accommodating staff we have encountered in a long time. We enjoyed live local music and good food in the Kani Ka Pila Grille, and spent much of one day at the beautiful pool, where an attentive waiter brought us food and beverages. My sister and I even signed up for a fun lulu lesson. The front desk staff was very professional, as was the hotel concierge, who advised us on a local tour and booked it for the four of us. We all enjoyed working with her. The room also featured a nice-sized couch and an in-room safe. I would definitely stay here again...sigh, and would love to hear the ocean waves outside our room once more.…
Currently at resort and have mixed feelings about the overall experience, I may update this upon checkout. First, the check in was awkward. There were three reps but there was no designated line so people were kind of confused on where to stand to wait as you are kind of in the main walkway of the hotel lobby. There was only two other couples when we checked in but can’t imagine when it’s a busier time. The employees were efficient and friendly. The room. We had a resort view suite. It is comfortable but not as pictures, at least not the first room we were given or the second one they moved us too as the balcony on the fist you could only walk out on half of it, the other half was small and oddly shaped , unuseable. The room itself is large and confirmed however there are some oddities, such as not one single drawer in the entire room, only shelf storage and a smallish closet. There is a kitchenette area with microwave, sink, refrigerator and coffee pot. There was no wine opener, wine glasses, utensils, plates, towels (paper or cloth) or even a trashcan. A simple call rectified some of that..again, the staff very friendly. The bedroom had a partial wall and then the other half has open slats to the bath vanity area…not great for privacy. The bathroom does not have a fan. And again, no drawers. I think the bedroom could have benefitted by having a mirror. There is a desk type thing, which I feel an actual dresser would have better served the area as there is a dining table in the other room. Lastly, I need to comment on the Voyager 47 club, which was a huge disappointment. I wouldn’t recommend paying extra for this until the actual club is completed and hopefully that will be better. Right now it feels like an after thought. The staff is friendly but all seemed to be knew and unfamiliar with the offerings. Food that should have been hot was cold, which was a safety concern for potential food poisoning if they are unable to keep to safe serve temp. The temporary space overlooks the beach, however there is no outdoor seating area or even the ability to open a window. It just is not inviting and doesn’t leave agood impression. I preferred the lounge at Outrigger Beach Resort which we visited in December. Hoping all of this will be better when the new lounge is complete. It was hard to find info about the club so I wanted to be honest for those who are researching. The only other dining facility currently on property is by the pool but on the front of property by entrance. Currently no dining with ocean views, it’s unclear when the new restaurant Monkeypod will actually open but that appears that it will have some ocean views as it is on that side of the property. Overall, at this point in my stay, I can’t say that I would come back, I preferred the Outrigger Beach Resort amenities better. Oh, another plus is the water flow water stations on property for fresh drinking water. And again, I must mention how friendly the staff is.…
We really enjoyed our stay at this resort which is located right on Waikiki Beach but away from a lot of the congestion. Very clean and tropical in appearance. Nice pool and restaurant on site. Concierge helpful in booking a tour. All service staff friendly and attentive. We especially appreciated our housekeeping support from Lily who was efficient, friendly and ready to help us out. Would stay there again!
Room was spacious with comfortable beds. Staff was friendly, exceptional and helpful. I can’t say enough about the concierge (Jason). When we were notified with a voicemail message at 4 pm the day prior to our Pearl Harbor/Arizona by the company with whom we booked it several months ago that we did not have tickets due to a “computer glitch”. The tour company offered to reschedule for another day or refund $10. Problem is that we were leaving in two days. We went to the concierge desk, explained our situation and several minutes later Jason found us tickets and booked our party through another tour company - Royal Star Tours. The tour was amazing and the highlight (beside the food) of our visit to Honolulu.
I've stayed here well more than a dozen times. This current remodel, which is almost done, is bringing a new vibe which I'm not used to yet. I loved being seated while checking in, and a feeling of warmth and welcoming on previous returns. Perhaps after COVID19 is on it's way out, adjustments will be made. I was in a partial ocean view room. I wish they would have left the dresser drawers for clothing. There's now a small 3 shelf unit in the closet to place your clothing. I'm traveling solo, so I can't imagine how a couple or family deal with this. The vanity has no drawers or shelving so you don't have many options for your toiletries. I ended up putting mine in a basket under the sink and on the vanity itself. I hope they'll improve the storage options in the future. Looking forward to returning and finding the lobby shops open and construction completed. The nightly music has always been a favorite of mine, as is the location, away from much of the crowded streets.…
Staying at the Outrigger Reef was awesome! We stayed here in 2002 and is even better now. The hotel has been renovated in 2021, and everything is very nice. We were a bit hesitant because of the beach, but are glad we stayed here. While the best Waikiki beach is just a short beach walk, it is less crowded at the hotel beach. We will stay here again on our next trip.
The Outrigger was fantastic with the construction going and we would be there for 14 days. The beach was perfect and the food was very good. The restaurants outside hotels were outstanding and the shopping was to never ending. The weather was always nice with a occasional shower. The view from our room was the world for a Honeymoon and we will be back one day it was our 3rd time in Honolulu.
The renovations are beautiful, wow. The staff continues to be helpful, friendly and kind. Coming back is like coming home for us, thank you for always making us feel.so welcome. I'm looking forward to our next trip to see the rest of the shops and Monkeypod open up.
