Aloha Susan W, Thank you very much for taking the time out of your day to inform us about your experience here at the Equus Hotel. I am so sorry and disappointed to learn about the unsatisfactory experience you had while here. To clear up any confusion you may have regarding our online pictures, in order to maintain online presence and integrity, most of the main travel websites such as TripAdvisor, Expedia, Booking.com etc. need to approve property submitted photos first. Once approved, that travel agency will then post property photos. TripAdvisor has a great picture forum as well for guests to share and upload their personal images of the property. Right now, we have over 600 guest submitted photos of rooms, common areas and outside surroundings. If you would like to contact me regarding our housekeeping service and your experience, please feel free to email chris@equushotel.com or call 808-949-0061. I am interested to learn more about your stay. To address your last concern, our pool is about 10 feet wide by 22 feet long nestled between our gazebo sitting area and our outside patio/bar/coffee shop. Space is very limited in Waikiki and our guests love the option to use the pool or swim in the ocean. We tried our best to maximize the available space as much as we could. Should you ever be back in Waikiki, please feel free to contact myself or the hotel directly and we can answer any and all questions you may have. It sounds like the travel agent is the one to blame here. It states clearly on the website that there is a daily resort fee on top of the room charge. No thievery going on there.
