Excellent!!! Including: The bedroom w/king bed and living room w/sofa bed The Kitchen - well supplied, clean and we saved so much $$ on food for a family for a week. The Pool/The BBQs/The Staff/The housekeepers/The parking @$25 a night - safe and secure. The View from the 37th floor of City and Diamond Head - the sunrises and city lights at night. We had a magical week in Waikiki at the Aston Sunset!
We stayed at Aston Waikiki Sunset for 2 weeks with family of 4 including a teen. Deluxe one bedroom with the view of ocean and diamond head was wonderful. Full kitchen with pots, pans and utensils were super plus. View of ocean while cooking and eating is like having BBQ at the beach everyday! Morning tea and evening drink at the lanai was pleasant. Deluxe room is big enough for 6 people (including 2 people can sleep on sofa-bed). Walking to beach is only 5 to 7 minutes. We frequented to the beaches. Hotel provides enough towels and you need not to worry. Yes, there are some occasional noises from plumbing work in the building but it didn't bother us. After all, we are not in the room all the time! We had our rental car since we traveled solo by ourselves and we didn't use any tour service. There is $25 per day parking fee in attached garage with multiple ins and outs. It's managed by an independent company but guarantees parking for the hotel guests. Room services are curtailed due to COVID-19 but we always got the supplies when we needed them. Laundry is at every floor and we used it with Clean Mobile app. I had to put dispose trash everyday. It's on the same floor and I didn't mind due to pandemic as I do same at my own home. Overall, I would give Aston Waikiki Sunset 5 out of 5.…
Reception was simple and the staff were very friendly. The view from the Deluxe oceanview was fabulous, we were on the 30th floor. Room was clean and the kitchen was pretty well equipped. There were 3 of us, all adults, no teens. Room got cleaned every 3 days which was fine with us, any extra towels or TP needed was brought up as soon as we requested. Ice to have a full kitchen including full sized fridge with ice maker in the freezer so we could have a leisurely breakfast before going out for the day or snacks and drinks in the evening while enjoying the view of the ocean out front or Diamond Head to the left. The hotel was perfect for us close to everything but just over a block off the beach and Kalakaua Ave so less traffic. Good pool and several big bbqs at the back of the hotel. The little shop on the 5th floor was handy for a few things we needed in the kitchen that we’d forgotten at the bigger stores. If there was anything that could be improved it would be the couch in the living room (it’s a sofa bed but we didn’t use it for that purpose) we found it to be not comfortable to sit and visit or watch tv at night, should be replaced. We’d stay there again for sure. …
the value was here. the view was as promised. amenities close by and the in house store reasonably priced with many needed supplies. fully stocked with kitchen supples. full kitchen for cooking. beach close enough. the neighbourhood was ok. plaque when exiting the elevator to provide directions to rooms.
Our 10 night stay at this hotel was awesome. We got a 1 BHK room mountain facings so the views were splendid. Room was clean and ample amenities provided. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to checkout this place. Also, its 5 mins walking distance to the waikiki beach.
The Aston Waikiki is a great place to stay mainly for family vacations! It is clean quiet friendly and pretty decent pricing!! Of coarse a little cheaper would be better but hey everyone needs to eat! Other then the ac blowing directly on me on high everything else was too shape and we are definitely staying there again!!!
This hotel does not give the feeling of being in a hotel. It is basically a condo/apartment style building that visitors share with tenants. On the good side, the staff are great and respectful . But, the fridge was dirty, kitchen not fully equipped, coffee maker old style - dirty and outdated. Carpet is old and stained, especially in the hallway. For the 13 days we stayed, no one replenished the coffee/tea/sugar/cream. We had to pick up items we needed. even bar soap or lotion. There was one pillow per bed, what is this!? The main room had light coming out of a single lamp which made it impossible to look for anything at night time. Room cleaning was limited to every four days does not promote cleanliness. Would like to recommend renovation and change of carpets or shampoo carpet at the very least. I can't recommend to anyone as it will generate the same feedback. Sorry, just being honest. …
We had a good time in Honolulu for 6 nights at this place. We felt safe and pleasant. The location is perfect - and a car rental downstairs is reasonably priced ($70-$77/day) as needed. The only annoying thing is the A/C being too noisy all day long.
Enjoyable stay, great location. It’s certainly not the newest place to call home but it’s well maintained and the staff are excellent. I definitely would stay again especially if it gets a decent facelift.
Overall stay was excellent and close to the beach and all tourists locations. Clean rooms, good house keeping, cordial staff. Great proximity to airports, car rental, other hotels and beaches. Good food available around the hotel vacinity
