Surfing was cultivated in our backyard and the lifestyle it embodies is central to who we are. Waikiki is famous for its beautiful beaches and we’re steps away from them. But you’ll be just as drawn to the timeless charm and laid-back vibe as the The Twin Fin Hotel welcomes you here.
Catch the next wave, seek your next adventure, or stroll to some of our favorite attractions.
We have stayed and loved this property before as the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel and equally loved it as the Twin Fin. Whenever we come back to this property we feel as if we are treated as family. This trip, our stay was for six weeks. Everything and everyone met or exceeded our expectations. Beginning with check in. The front desk crew, especially Nicole was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast crew up in the Coconut Room always started our day with a smile. Gloria and Cheville were always so much fun to talk with and we looked forward to seeing them every morning. Melanie and the rest of the breakfast crew always made sure we were happy with everything. Our housekeeper Marietta, Randy & Dely from parking, along with the crew from Beach Candy rounded out our great experience. Thanks to the management team. Randy, Cody, Gloria and Jeanine who always took the time to make us feel welcome. Lastly, a very special thank you to Lillian and Ika for overseeing all the details to make our stay so special. We appreciate all the kindness.…
Hotel was unique, clean, safe, comfortable and in a great location. Our main objective was being by the water. The ocean was just across the street from the hotel, with nothing but the street between. That beach in particular is protected by breakwater, so that water was shallow and calm -- great for families with small children. However, surfing beaches were also available, a 5 minute walk in either direction. Also nice, as part of the resort fee, you can get a free surf board, boogie board, or beach chair loan for the day (other items as well). Sleeping rooms were great. Bathroom is small. Atmosphere was unique and fun.
We stayed in The Twin Fin for one week. The location is great: close to the busy Waikiki tourist area as well as the nice quiet local beach park. Our oceanfront room is great. The room is very clean. The breakfast is excellent!
My family enjoyed our stay at the Twin Fin and all the staff was friendly. Beautiful views from the room. Our little ones had fun at the pool and lounging in the cabanas. The breakfast at the Coconut Club had a delicious selection for everyone in our family. The young ones enjoyed the acai bowls and the boys had the loco moco and breakfast burrittos. Breakfast staff very friendly and welcoming. And you can't beat the view from the 21st floor at Coconut Club!!! What a wonderful way to start the day.
The elevator system is a disaster. The hotel texted during my stay asking for a review. I shared that the elevator system in particular makes the stay very frustrating. They responded that they had higher than normal elevator traffic and that it would improve. But that’s not the complaint necessarily, I could see the system couldn’t handle the number of people considering the crowd built up in front of the elevators. I’m saying the elevator system is flawed and is problematic from the start. You have to scan the card, type your floor number, it tells you which elevator can take you there. A lot of the time (even when traffic is low) elevator doesn’t come down after waiting for literally 5 minutes. I feel like it wasted our precious time there in Hawaii, on something that should be very simple. The rooms are small and need updating. …
Nice location but we had a tiny king bed room and the bathroom is what you’d expect at a Motel 6. They store the clean towels on a rack INSIDE the tub/shower. The elevator system is unlike anything we have seen before. Strange system plus lengthy wait for elevator.
First the good--the staff were nice, and were ready to check us in even when we arrived after midnight due to a flight delay. The location is convenient, at a more "quiet" end of the beach. But--the road you have to cross to get to the beach is busy and noisy. We were in an ocean front room, and the noise was nearly unbearable on the weekend. There are cars, trucks, motorcycles and sirens constantly. The pedestrian crossing lights seem to take a long time to change, meaning its often a longer than normal wait to cross. Once you do cross though, the beach is nice, and clean. Down the main street to the right is like any street in a big city-homeless people (some very ill looking), people hawking their products aggressively, and just generally a Vegas-like atmosphere. We booked an ocean front room, meaning a lot of street noise, and for the last 2 days of our holiday, a screeching wind sound coming through our sliding doors, day and night that we couldn't remedy. The elevators are quirky, a couple of times they stopped working. Our room was obviously a handicapped access one, thus the larger size, and wide bathroom door. The bathroom was my biggest complaint--there was no countertop, just a sink, so no room for toiletry items unless you put them in the sink. So had to carry back and forth every time I needed to use things, for a week. And this is an upgraded room. I've included a picture of the sink area. Also note the crazy positioning of the bathtub faucet. Any cheap motel in North America is going to have a vanity of some size. …
We had a wonderful experience here. Check in was a breeze and staff were all so friendly during our stay. The location is amazing with the beach, shops and restaurants all within walking distance. You even get 3 credits a day to get your choice of beach chair, SUP, surf board which is awesome instead of being charged for every little item like on different resorts. There is a car rental right there on sit if you need to get one. They had variety of breakfast choices every day with an amazing ocean view to enjoy during. Randy was so helpful and accommodating during our stay. I’d recommend to any of my friends or family going. Mahalo!
Fantastic location , however what kept the price down is older rooms ( tastefully redone ) Bed was comfy as . Staff were as helpful as could be . If I come back to Hawaii I would definitely stay again
The room was perfect for what we were doing! the location made the trip for a large family vacation perfect. The elevator situtation can get a little chaotic if there is a bunch of people checking in at one time. If you're in a hurry to get down and are on a high floor and are unable to use the stairs, then opt for a lower level. Service/ Staff was very patient and kind. I will use this hotel again the next time I book in Waikiki
