We just spend 10 days enjoying the benefits of Waikiki living at this hotel. Large (for 2) 1 bedroom rooms with full kitchen for the price of a standard room elsewhere. Friends stayed at the Marriott (100 yds away) for over $100 a night more with a much smaller room. Yes, they had a full service hotel, but we had... More

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and three teenage children, it was ideal for us, the children loved it, we had a one bedroom apartment and a wonderful view of Diamond Head, we had a full kitchen which we only used for breakfast and snacks but it was so convenient to make breakfast and have it on the... I've been to Honolulu 4 times, and 3 out of those trips I stayed at Waikiki Banyan. Its a great hotel, affordable, great decor, fresh and spacious. It has a kitchen which is great, especially if you are on a budget- that way you can make your own meals now and then. I truly loved this place, and recommend to... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Banyan very much. Very nice room on 29th floor with beautiful ocean view. The maid service was very good as well as the desk staff. This was our first visit to Hawaii for our daughter's wedding and we we will be back and staying there once again!! We had a great time!

My family stayed here August 22nd-29th for a family reunion and we had a blast!! We had a room on the 11th floor facing the city with a view of the beach which was great. My Brother-in-law stay at this location too and we were able to be right next to each other. Our room were very different from each... More

My Wife & I with our two children 14 & 10 stayed at the Banyan from 23/7/06 to 4/8/06. After reading all the reviews before we travelled to Hawaii were very concerned about the quality of the hotel & the room. We were booked into room 3413 which was a deluxe one bedroom ocean view with kitchen in Tower One... More

We stayed at the Hawaiian Sun Holidays of the Waikiki Banyan during the week of July 22-July 29, 2006. This was a timeshare exchange through ---. You have to know that this is located at the same address as the Resort Quest of the Waikiki Banyan. The room had a great view of the ocean. We had a kitchen without... More

As advised by previous posters, we requested renovated rooms, which we received, plus a free upgrade to an ocean view room. We stayed in two rooms in Tower One. One room (the last room at the end of the hall) was larger than the other and had a nice view of Waikiki Beach. Both rooms were relatively clean - no... More

We stayed at the Waikiki Banyan June 25-July2. Overall, I would rate this hotel a good choice for families travelling with children. It is by no means a luxury hotel and is short on amenities such as a coffee shop or restaurant but by and large, we enjoyed our stay. The best features are the the separate bedroom (sliding doors... My family and I stayed at the Waikikii Banyan June 15 - 20. First we were on the 7th floor of Tower 2, and every time we came back to the room/ woke up in the morning, there were cockroaches all over the kitchen. We decided to change rooms, and they moved us to the 8th floor. We thought this... More
