Just over for a family weekend on a budget. Love the quiet end of Waikiki - close, but not in middle of throngs of tourists. Hotel and rooms are a little dated, but that's part of charm. Very clean. Probably the most comfortable pull-out sofa bed I have ever slept on! Has Tree Lanai for breakfast is an added bonus... More

Everybody there was so nice. The beach is just a few steps away. We had a beach/Waikiki skyline view...very nice with a . Easy to get a taxi, just ask bell captain. The walk to Waikiki is 15-20 minutes, it's nice walk. You can walk through the park or by the beach. The food at New Otani was good, we... More

This hotel is really tired. The front desk staff is really tired. The rooms, while clean, are poorly done and cramped. The best part of this hotel is the view and the beachfront location. If you need to stay here, be sure to request a larger room with a view. If you get the "garden" view, you'll be looking at... More

This Hotel feels homey, and has a comfortable, non-resort feel. Close to beach and park. Very handy if you would rather not rent a car, and simply walk to the surrounding areas. Nothing fancy, but very nice.

Ok standard, but we thought it would be more modern judging from the pictures online. Some staff could have been friendlier whilst others (at least two younger members of staff) was great! A lot of older people working and they seem tired. Located in a quiet and peaceful area and the hotel is right on the beach, but not in... More

Pro beach front , maintenance works fast on any requests you need people work fast and the busboys work well. They wanted us to up grade our room because we had an in between view of the water and diamond head but it was a great view. The room was very tiny, your in and out at the same time.... More

Located on the beach at the "quiet end" of Waikiki, New Otani is a great choice if you'd rather avoid crowds of tourists in Waikiki. Our room was oceanfront with a small balcony. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; the only drawback was the size of the room. Other than the shirt hallway leading from the door, there was a roughly... More

Booked a king room for our honeymoon at this hotel through their own site. The room we got was one of the most old, smelly, run down room I've ever stayed in. For $200, even here in Honolulu, you'd expect a room better than the local hostel. Not so. No vent in the bathroom, everything from the 70s, super old... More

The hotel is about 2km away from the main Waikiki area. The room we had was small but clean. The maids service was excellent. However this hotel is more like an upmarket motel than a hotel. It is more 2 than 3 star. Pro's The hotel s situated on the beach. The beach is a great family beach if you... More

Our 2nd stay at New Otani Kaimana beach. We love the location. It's away from the noise and bustle of the central tourist center but close enough to walk. Nice protected beach for swimming or sunbathing. We booked an ocean view room and were placed in a small oceanfront room. The room was a small but clean and comfortable( why... More
