At the Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach Walk, many guests commend the variety of amenities on offer, particularly the complimentary breakfast and evening reception. Its prime location mere steps from Waikiki Beach is frequently highlighted, along with the live entertainment that adds to the vibrant atmosphere. While some mention the decor as dated, the service receives high marks for the staff's friendliness and professionalism.
Families particularly acknowledge the value, despite some additional fees. Rooms are found to be spacious and generally clean, though a few guests note maintenance issues.

Detailed Reviews
Hotel's Favorite
This was my family's first trip to Oahu and I was a little apprehensive about where to stay. After reviewing many properties around the Waikiki area, I booked 2 rooms at the Embassy - a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite for my family and an additional king suite for my parents. Both rooms were in the Hula Tower with amazing views that we'll remember forever. Let me first say that this hotel is NOT cheap but let me also add it was the BEST decision I made and I have no regrets about how much we spent staying here during our 8 day trip. The property is beautiful and clean and the service at this Embassy is phenomenal. The rooms are modern, spacious, clean and comfortable and we loved returning to them after a long day out. We also loved that the hotel included breakfast with a good spread including made to order omelettes. Try the Spiced Zucchini bread :) One of my daughters and I became addicted to it after trying it the first day. It's so good !! Another thing to note is that if any of you are like me who goes through review after review looking for a quality hotel in prime location to serve as our base while on vacation then this, is where you need to stay. My family and I walked everywhere because the hotel is centrally located to literally everything - the beach, restaurants, shopping areas etc. yet somehow it is still wonderfully quiet when you retreat to your room. You can't ask for a better location. There are many hotels and condo's around Waikiki that you can choose from but I doubt any of them can hold a candle to this property in terms of service, quality and spaciousness of rooms, location and breakfast and for these reasons, it will be the only one that we stay at when my family returns to Oahu. Thank you Embassy Suites Waikiki for making our stay so wonderful.
A couple of things to note :
Fee's - There are mandatory resort AND valet parking fee's per day (I think the resort fee was $40 per day + tax per room and the parking was and additional $45 + tax per day per car). There is no self park. In those fee's however, breakfast is included which was great and having the ease of someone parking your car after a long day and delivering it again when you need it was much appreciated (and I'm one that doesn't normally use valet parking ). The fee's also include daily housekeeping which most hotels don't always do anymore after COVID. I personally really loved and appreciated coming back to a clean, made up room after returning from a long day in the heat. And for those of you who like happy hour - they offer that as well. So are the mandatory fee's high? Yes they are. But they are the worth it? In my opinion, Definitely !!
Room Selection - We had 2 rooms in the Hula Tower and we absolutely LOVED it !! The Embassy has many different room categories but if you can swing an ocean view or partial ocean view room - I highly recommend it. Being able to see the waves every day and the sunsets every evening was amazing. Please note though that even if you pay extra for a partial ocean or ocean view, this hotel is NOT ocean front. The Embassy is wedged between other buildings so you are not going to get an ocean front view so don't expect it. But what you do get is terms of ocean view is truly lovely and my family really appreciated and loved the room we had. I also HIGHLY recommend the 2 bedroom 2 bath suites for larger families. I loved that my 4 kids, husband and I could all stay together rather than everyone splitting up into 2 rooms.
Final note - Thank you so much Gianna for your wonderful hospitality when we checked in and for bending backwards to make our stay so enjoyable. The Embassy Waikiki is truly lucky to have you. Thank you also to Cary (in the dining area at breakfast) who made us feel so welcome each and every day. He provided a wealth of local knowledge and it was a pleasure talking to him every morning. Thank you also to Erick who assisted us when Gianna was unavailable. But it wasn't jus these 3 individuals. Every team member at this Embassy be it guest services, housekeeping, dining or valet goes above and beyond in term of customer service and it's something that should be acknowledged.

My wife and I just recently completed our annual visit to the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk which we believe is the best location, best value, and best staff in Waikiki. The complimentary breakfast buffet, evening reception with complimentary drinks and snacks are great value which is not found anywhere else in Waikiki. Four nights a week the Hawaiian family band, Kanilau, plays at the evening reception and is one of the main reasons we keep coming back.
We are always greeted warmly by everyone from the bellman, Mr. Dean, to the front desk personnel, to the housekeeping, breakfast and evening reception staff. While all staff are always very friendly and helpful, certain staff stand out each time we stay here. Aldrin, Resty and Jay on the breakfast staff always greet us with a warm handshake or hug and say “welcome home” and ask us what they can do to help us. Cary came by our table at breakfast each day to check on us and to offer suggestions for things to do, places to eat or places to buy souvenirs or clothing for the best price. Justyn, at breakfast and also in the pool area was also very helpful. Our housekeeper, Crisfel, was so nice and made our room very comfortable during our stay. Alma, does a great job at the evening reception. At the evening reception Keola and Dennis, the bartenders, do an outstanding job with the drinks and keeping the line moving while interacting with the guests.
We are looking forward to our next trip here.

The best hotel and location for traveling families. You simply cannot beat the room layout and size, breakfast, hotel services or location to the beach and Waikiki shopping. Simply the best for families and the staff was truly accommodating for us. We have a preschooler and toddler and had enough space in the room to not feel cramped. The pool is just right for our littles and did not feel overcrowded.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites last year and absolutely loved it. So we decided to stay here again. The breakfast was fantastic like last year. However, the lines are a lot longer and because of the rain which left the outdoor tables and chairs wet, we couldn't find a place to sit. I managed to find a towel and whipped down the tables and chairs. Not sure why the servers weren't doing that! This year, the hotel was at 97% occupancy when we arrived - pool was so crowded, I didn't even make it to the jacuzzi (we were there for 7 days). We had a pool-side, partial ocean view room on the 10th floor and it was noisy! We've been going to Hawaii for the past 10+ years, and this is the only hotel where I felt the staff was less than welcoming. The cleaning lady didn't even say good morning/aloha to us but asked bluntly "do you want your room cleaned?" The staff at breakfast was also less than friendly (aside from one ). The other annoying change that happened this year is they added more "cabanas" in the swimming area but they decided to charge for them. That just makes me mad. The hotel is not cheap. We paid $350+ a night and you're going to nickel and dime us? That just felt cheap and left a bad taste in my mouth.
All that said, the hotel is in a central location to the beach and downtown waikiki (restaurants and shopping). The rooms were clean, breakfast was good despite the long lines. Ask for a higher floor if you're staying here.

Aloha and thank you for sharing your review. We appreciate your feedback and also appreciate your being a repeat guest. I do apologize for the inconvenience you encountered at breakfast on this stay. Waikiki, and our property, are quite popular this time of year and guests from around the world come to escape winter weather. Our breakfast tends to get quite busy during peak times and the rain tends to limit our seating. We do plan on adding extra covered areas this year to help add inclement weather seating capacity. Our hosts are known for sharing their aloha spirit and provide guests with a warm welcome. I apologize if this is not what you experienced. Please reach out to me when you have time so I can make this right. We do hope to see you back again and we wish you safe travels and all the best in this New Year. Mahalo!

Booked a 2 bedroom wheelchair accessible suite with roll in shower which was EXCELLENT. This cost us about $600 per night on the Hilton website. Embassy suites immediately confirmed the ADA suite which is a must for our travel requirements as my son is in a wheelchair. Breakfast was very average especially as my family does not eat eggs and we ate Denny's pancakes for $2 instead. Alcoholic drinks served free after 5:30 pm is irresponsible and these should be charged to the individuals NOT to all guests. The rooms especially for special needs should be cheaper and there should be an option to pay for breakfast and afternoon reception.

Our three day staycation was a fantastic getaway for our family of 5. From the outset, there was great communication from the staff regarding changes due to the COVID rules - one hour pool reservations, hot breakfast to go only, etc. They also acknowledged our diamond status with 4p late check out, snacks and a room view upgrade. We had a beeping smoke detector on arrival and it was fixed before we got back from our swim reservation.
The hotel was clean and although some things were scaled down (no evening reception or room service), the staff was friendly and helpful.
Our room 1031, faced the pool, and had beach views. There was plenty of space for our family to spread out. You can tell they are trying to update the rooms with modern furniture and paint, but there are still signs of aging, but nothing that would keep us from coming back.
The location is right across a quiet street from the beach access and it is directly above plenty of restaurants with much more available just down the strip. It's obviously quiet right now due to low occupancy, but from our room, I could only hear the pool fountain and no street noise.
I highly recommend this hotel for Hilton loyalists, as the location and price can't be beat - even before the pandemic we had planned to stay here.

My visit started of with 14 day restriction of movement, however, staying at Embassy Suites here in Waikiki Beach made the stay enjoyable and less of a hassle. The staff are friendly and will treat you like family. Right off the bat, Matthew at the front desk made sure I had all I need and followed up daily to ensure that I am comfortable.
I am not a picky with where I stay but I can securely say that out of all the hotels I’ve stayed at in Waikiki, Embassy Suites gave me the best experience and the only place I feel I would be willing to stay indoors at for 14days straight. It’s like living in a furnished apartment where you have everything you need and if you don’t the staff are kind/friendly enough to expeditiously deliver whatever your needs are.
Definitely 10/10 for awesome staff, great comfy suites, and outstanding overall experience.

My family (myself, my husband, 3 year old, and 5 month old) stayed at this hotel in the middle of February for 10 days. My parents and 2 adult brothers also stayed at the hotel for 7 days. We all agreed that it was the perfect location, walking distance to everything you need! The hotel staff were friendly, and made sure that we were taken care of.
The hotel room was always clean, and housekeeping always made sure we had enough towels. We were often in the room at different times during the days so our boys could nap, but housekeeping was extremely considerate and would ask us for the best time to clean our room.
Our room was a king room in the Aloha Tower. It was perfect for two adults and two young children. You can hear the elevator throughout the night, but it did not bother me.
Some days the elevators were busy and it was difficult to get up or down depending on the time of day.
Breakfast was unreal! I was so impressed, never bored of the options. The omelettes were great!
Evening reception was good, some people enjoyed the free drinks more than others! The entertainment was amazing!
The pool was never crowded even though the hotel was full most of the nights we stayed. Our 3 year old loved the kiddy pool and always found a friend or two to play with!
We were unable to use our balcony during our entire stay due to construction. We spoke to the hotel staff and they gave us a choice of late checkout or a free night. We were very thankful and chose to have a free night.
Overall, this hotel is amazing for families! The hotel rooms are spacious and allow for parents to stay up while the children sleep! I would stay again!

I brought my son over to move him into his dorm at UH. We were required to quarantine in our room for 14 days. I was so tired when we arrived after a full day of travel that I did not notice that our door did not have the sticker and seal stating that the room had been sanitized on it. The next morning I started noticing things that were not clean - sand on the floor, finger smears on glass doors and mirrors. I called the front desk to let them know that they had checked me in to a room that was not clean. The staff member - a manager - was very apologetic, offered to send up some disinfectant wipes, but did not offer to move us to a sanitized room. On top of worrying about the germs we may have picked up in two airports and on two airplanes, I now had to worry about germs left by the previous inhabitants of my room for 14 days. Pretty stressful. After our quarantine was over, we moved to a different room that was not on a quarantine floor. This room had the sticker seal on the door, tv remotes in a sleeve indicating sanitization, and it smelled clean. I felt much better.
Hilton has been making such a big deal about the measures they are taking to keep their customers healthy, and have laid out what they require from us. I would encourage anyone else who is assigned a room without the sanitizing sticker and seal to refuse the room and ask for another. It’s what I should have done, but did not have the knowledge then that I do now. The staff at this hotel was amazing and so incredibly helpful. I cannot say enough nice things about them!

Our family of 4 arrived from Australia at 7:30am and were advised that our room was ready and we were welcome to eat from the buffet breakfast! What a welcome after a long flight. We ate breakfast and had a few hours sleep. We had requested for a room away from the lift and ice machine (I wasn't too worried about view more about sleep). We rang and they were able to change us in the afternoon. Great customer service! They also gave us a upgrade to 2 bathrooms! The sleep quality during our stay was fantastic and our room was amazing. We enjoyed the breakfast and also the snacks and drinks in the evening. The location of his hotel is also great. You walk right out into Waikiki and it feels so relaxing. We used the pool and spa everyday and there were always fresh pool towels. Free wi fi was good and we liked having a fridge and microwave. Another bonus of this hotel is no resort fees. We caught buses around and immensely enjoyed our 4 night stay. Thank you and we'd love to come back and stay again.

Prob a higher floor but you would have to ask the hotel for sure. I love this hotel; the laid-back vibe as well as for proximity to walk the beach boardwalk when the sun goes down in the evening
I would say the pool view is less expensive because it tends to be louder due to the live music and crowds of guests at the pool. We stayed in February 2023 and October 2023, February we stayed in Hula tower with partial ocean view super high floor it was quiet and amazing. We had a really odd "city view" which was of a lower portion of a roof of the hotel and were moved to a "pool view" room as an upgrade in October and it was so loud and unpleasant. I would avoid pool view at all costs.
I stayed twice and on my second stay changed rooms. One view was literally of the roof of a lower building. The city view is a bit more exciting although at least a partial ocean view is even better (1st stay) I would avoid a "pool view" unless it's higher than the 8th floor.
