We found Maliki heights finally and were shocked , sitting in the driveway next to the abandoned appliances and bedding we checked the address over n over . Yep it's the right place we drove up the narrow driveway to find 8 cars filling the lot totally one of the people sitting on the back steps yelled over the boom... More

I was booked to stay here for one night in January. It was booked three months in advance through booking.com. One week before our arrival, I got an email saying they had overbooked and couldn't honor my reservation. Funny that when I checked them out online for that night on AirBnB, they were available but for a significantly higher price.... More

4 bedroom house divided in half, so two rooms share a bathroom and kitchenette on each side. Fridge had expired food in it from past guests, whose garbage was still in the trash as well. Room was ok, bed was comfortable. Previous reviews of insects may have prompted screen repair because I didn't notice any. Geckos camped out on the... More

Warning: this place is dark, filthy, and gives the worst first impression of Hawaii. Broken furniture, ( broken chairs, bed dresser), disgusting bathroom, kitchen. Insects everywhere. Unsafe in every respect. This is not a charming retreat in the forest although it could be if it were demolished and rebuilt up to code and state standards. Don't even think about staying... More

My husband and I camped on the northern shore for the first four nights of our trip, so coming to Makiki Heights Drive was luxury! It was quaint and felt like a tree house. Yes, it could be cleaned up a bit more and the chickens are noisy (where are they not on this island?), but overall we loved our... More

This is an older facility with the scars of life. Nothing fancy and not for the prissy traveler, but has all the necessities. Due to location you will be serenaded to sleep by the birds and sometimes by the song of the native culture groups. The bed was comfy, all kitchenware needed was available, plenty of hot water for showering,... More

The room was old (all furniture, walls paint etc) but it is ok. We found a lizard in the room and moved it out (which is more or less ok as well). Then: the room was dirty, like really dirty, floor was not cleaned for a while; there were some used socks under the bed; the bed was not changed,... More

I booked a room at this place through hostelworld[dot]com two weeks in advance, but got kicked out when I tried to check in. This left me stranded on the island, and I ended up spending a whole precious afternoon looking for somewhere else to stay, which cost me about $300 dollars more. The owner, Marie, said that the hostel was... More

We booked this place as a last resort at the last minute, and shouldn't have. Upon arriving at the place (after having to walk up a steep hill as we were hardly able to find it), we were met with the sights and smells of an unkempt, disgusting, decrepit property. When the owner was called to see us, although we... More

I have to ALARM that this accomodation has flaws. We booked our room 2,5 months in advance for Christmas in Hawaii. Three days before our arrival, when we asked for a pick up from airport, Marie told us that her place is overbooked and others had booked earlier. So she choose not to let us know about and it was...
