Travelers' Choice
In a destination that’s famous for being popular, the Shoreline is comfortable in its own skin. The hotel — 135 rooms over 14 floors — has a scale absent from most Waikiki Resorts, and the 1970s design creates a contemporary feel. Accommodations are bright and well‑appointed.

We enjoyed our stay here very much and extended it to 2 weeks. The staff was very accommodating and Cheyne was exceptionally welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Waikiki.

The good. The lobby and room was very clean. The desk staff were polite and friendly. While we didn’t use the pool, it looked good. The location, a couple blocks from the beach is great. BUT... the place is a party hotel. We had a room next to us that was smoking and partying for two days! Tossing bottles off the balcony and vomiting onto the deck below them. When they finally left, the poor housekeeper had two giant bags of trash and bottles. So if you don’t want to shell out for beachfront, the place is great. But be aware that you get what you pay for.

I felt cared for from the moment I stepped foot at Shoreline to the moment that I left. Every single staff member was extremely friendly and professional, but I interacted mostly with Cheyne and Aaron. Cheyne has perfected his communication with the guests. If I needed any food recommendations - or even just a friendly face to talk to - he was there with a smile, ready to help out. It seemed as though everyone, by the end of their stay, became friends with Cheyne. Simply put, he knows what he's doing - and he does it well. Aaron was also a sweetheart that was extremely patient and took his time to help me out. Shoreline is lucky to have such great staff! The hotel was clean, a great rate for the location, had clean water to drink, was near parking garages, felt extremely safe, and had average-sized rooms. In Waikiki, that's a steal! There is always someone at the front desk to help. If I come back to Waikiki, Shoreline is definitely the place I will be staying at.

Okay so I booked a nightmare of an Airbnb and was like an excursion on E trying to figure out where to sleep my kids and myself. I decided to come to Shoreline Hotel Waikiki. It’s small but cute- the Decor is what makes it. But you know what will make me come back over and over again. My guy Cheyin (pronounced Shane) at the front desk! Great personality! Helpful! Knowledgeable and personable! Great work cheyin! Shoreline Wakiki should be greatful to have you.

The hotel and room was alright, falling slightly below expectations. What was troublesome for us was that information is misleading and not communicated clearly. For example the parking: reception said there was valet parking when there was none at all. We came across another customer who also complained about that during our stay. Also the hotel never mentioned there was another garage for parking, so we had to park at a public garage for $45/day. Then they also failed to mention the 30/day fee for parking. In addition to that, Heavenly Island Lifestyle was not open as advertised on the website & emails. Website information and signage was misleading, and I'd suggest updating the information to reflect the actual situation.
