Considering that this spot in Waikiki averages $299 and up, the single rate for a good, clean, quiet private room with excellent air-con, lighting, storage, kitchen facilities and large bathroom for $75 per night midweek and $95 on weekends is a wonderful deal. A bar of Yardley soap from Walmart for less than a dollar personalized the shower until I... More

I chose to stay in a private room. It was spacious but I'm just one person, so I didn't need that much space. The whole room smelt like stale cigarette smoke(for the whole 3 nights was there), the plastic bin in the room had the type of burn marks from burning cigarette butts and people from other rooms were smoking... I happened to walk up just as the office clerk on duty was standing outside posting a "vacancy" sign: Apt. 322 had just been renovated 2 months previously and was undergoing basic cleaning while I looked it over: 288 sq. feet, large bathroom, ceiling fan, air-con, large screen cable tv, 4-burner range, huge new refrigerator, queen sized bed, roomy double... This place is the most disgusting place I have ever or will ever go. No soap for one. Then after coming back for the night I went to change the channel on the TV and noticed dried man juice on the TV screen. I flipped out yelling. I didn't want to touch anything, use the toilet or use the comforter... More

He wasnt in the office to pay rent before 4 o'clock. Knowing we would pay, just an hour later than normal, the management made me lock my door... More

This place is horrible. I couldnt agree more with the last reviewer. It is full of drunks and degenerates, and not a hostel for travelers at all. The same owners also have The Ohana Pacific Hostel on lemon road. while i was staying at the place next door to Ohana pacific ( after leaving island hostel with no refund) the... More

This is one of the worst places that I have ever stayed in Hawaii (the other hostel is also owned by the same people who own this hostel). The place is cockroach ridden and filthy. They do not offer towels, lockers, or a clean cooking facility. You won't meet any interesting travelers there--many of the 'guests' who stay there are... More
