We have been staying here for 10 days and I would rate our over all experience as good. The room we booked is newly renovated ocean view with great sunsets. The service has been great from valet parking to delivering wine cups and towels to our room. The hotel staff are courteous and responsive. We had some issues with the WIFI but it’s working now. Finally, the rates have been fair in comparison to similar hotels who have used the pandemic to extort more money from their vacation hungry customers!

This resort was worth the stay. The resort is across the street from the beach and walking distant of restaurants and shops. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. They offer a service where you can chat with the front desk through the app if you have questions or requests and they are very helpful and quick to respond. There is a water fill station downstairs, so many shops within the resort, Starbucks, etc. The rooms have been renovated and ours was very spacious and nice. We had an ocean view room in the Kealohilani tower and it was so relaxing to wake up and watch the waves roll in. Sure, it was noisy, busy and crowded. They have been doing construction on the pool which you can hear during the day from your balcony or if your balcony door is open. They have to finish the pool sometime, right? If noise bothers you I suggest the other tower, or maybe even somewhere not in Waikiki because it’s very touristy and loud in general, but it didn’t bother us. We came to Waikiki during the busiest time of year, where the streets and surrounding areas are full of people so there is constant noise, construction or not. I was very pleased staying here and I would 100% stay at this resort again and again in the future.

Loved staying here. Staff was all around wonderful. I had an ocean front room which had great ocean views. Someone submitted a review and commented about the noise. It is a fairly busy tourist area (Waikiki Beach) and thee hotel does have construction going on. Although, I was above the construction and didn't hear much. I still enjoyed every moment of it. If you can, I'd wait until the construction is over to take advantage of the renovated spaces. Two of their restaurants were closed and that was a bummer. The restaurant that is opened wasn't all that great. Staff was great but the food was not all that. Ended up eating elsewhere mot of the stay. There are homeless sleeping outside across the street but they were not a bother. I would give it an excellent if their restaurants were open and construction completed so that I could enjoy the pool deck.

Concierge Jason Blossey is the bomb. He ordered us a cab at the last minute that got us to the North Shore and our Kuloa Ranch movie set tour in plenty of time and for much less $$ than we would have paid outright. And he did it on very short notice. My thanks, Jason! He is one of the many reasons I'd recommend staying at the Marriott Waikiki Resort. It's immaculate and an excellent location, and everyone on staff is friendly.

First of all, the hotel was nice and the room at the Kealohilani tower was very spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the general manager needs to take another look at how rooms are categorized. I received room 1831 and it is clearly not Ocean Front. I am facing the buildings and the view of the ocean comprises approximately 20% of the view from my room (see photos). I stayed in many Ocean Front rooms before, as well as Premium Ocean View and just regular Ocean View rooms, and this is absolutely not the Ocean Front room as Marriott claims it to be. In fact, Marriott categorized the whole side of the Kealohilani tower as Ocean Front while it is not even good Ocean View from the room. Of course, if I go to my balcony, all the way out, and face the ocean, I see the ocean. The view is magnificent. However, when I am booking, I am booking an Ocean Front ROOM, not Ocean Front BALCONY. I spoke to general manager about this and he is going to take a look at how the rooms categorized so I expect this issue to be fixed in the upcoming months.
