This 2-3 star hotel is tired and needs updating. However if you book a room through Koko Resorts on the 5th floor. You give up fresh sheets every day (which is an environmental downer) but save around $20.00 per day. The Koko Resorts rooms tend to be newer interior and wifi and Updated TVs. Koko resorts has a selection of... More

Have stayed here about 14 times - and the Banyan never fails to deliver - we stay at a variety of condos - depending upon availability - and all the ones we stay at are great. We have stayed with friends, with family and so on. Three adults per condo will se it out - if you have a larger... More

This was a excellent place to stay for families only a couple of blocks to the beach. The apartment was self contained with a full sized fridge and oven etc. The pool was good and there was a small playground for the younger ones. The only bad thing that I was not happy at all about was that I booked... More

We rented this Kai and he is an awesome, friendly person. He promptly met us at the condo and showed us around. Although the condo was not beach front view, it was very pretty looking towards the mountains and we did not miss the ocean view. I would highly recommend renting from Kai at Hawaii Winds Co. He was honest,... More

For our first visit to Honolulu we booked the Waikiki Banyon through Expedia. What Expedia didn't tell us was that we were really booking through a third party, Hello Relaxation. These people told us on arrival that we had to pay an extra $400 on top of the $4,500 that I had steady paid before they would give us a... More

Pretty basic but clean. Two adults and two young teens. We needed a roll away for our second child as the pull out couch wasn't going to work for sharing. They provided the roll away free of charge which was normally a $30/night fee so that was nice of staff to do. The kitchenette was equipped with the basics and... More

we've stayed at the banyan about 6-7 times now over the past 10 years now and i still think its possibly the best value in the area. with that being said, like any condo each room is a different story. for about 165 bucks a night, tower 1 room 3703 gives you absolute killer view of the ocean and diamond... This is, without a doubt, the worst place we've stayed in any of the Hawaiian islands. The property is very old and not well maintained. Candidly, it's just creepy. The halls are old, painted a weird green and a bit stinky. The rooms are very tiny and missing basics such as a dishwasher. The appliances look like the ones I've... More

I stayed at the Waikiki Banyan over the Labor Day weekend with the family as part of a stay-cation in Waikiki. The room itself was a 1-bedroom unit with a full kitchen, including a stove and oven and a full refrigerator, which we liked as it allowed us to cook our own meals. While there is no grocery store in... More
