This was the worst hotel I ever stayed in. We were there for 8 nights and had ZERO housekeeping. You have to take out your own trash and deal with the piles of it and the smells in the hallways as all other guests had to do the same. Also they advertise the huge pool and games area which were closed (supposedly due to Covid) during the weekdays but open on the weekend. (I was unaware that you cannot catch Covid on the weekend only weekdays) The also advertise a hot buffet breakfast, also NOT true. You get a bag with their choice of junk, you can't even pick your own junk food.
Good hotel while staying in Honolulu. Little bit far away from the beach, but you're at good location. Everything is on walking distance. Clean rooms, comfy beds, kind staff. Sometimes there was a big crowd on the breakfast. Beautiful view on the city if you're on higher floor. (Stayed in the hotel for 7 days in December 2019, but unfortunatelly I'm not able to put right month on the app.)
I truly enjoyed my stay at this property in March 2021. The hotel experience was great and it was walking distance to the beach, malls, restaurants, and parks. It was also very close to the pick-up spots of our tours (literally across the street). Rooms are quiet, and very comfortable. COVID measures are strictly followed throughout the property and everything is super clean. I also want to mention the people that made our stay special. Everyone at this property is super nice and they go above and beyond to make you feel valued. I wish I could remember everyone's names, because they all deserve to be mentioned, but I want to give a shout out to Gladys at the Front Desk; to the best concierges in Honolulu, Matt and Ross, and to the super-friendly and extremely efficient security officer Page, who answered many of my questions and helped me a lot! I would definitely stay here again!…
Two years ago this placed appeared to be new and very well kept. Yes the rooms are small very very small. Sheets and towels were clean but overall This year the upkeep is very poor. The staff is helpful but I’m sure there is only so much they can do and I’m also sure cleaning services are limited due to Covid but there was trash all over in hallways near ice machines and lobby area. Sad to see. I felt so cramped in my room and the AC wasn’t working properly. I had to switch out of this hotel to Hilton Waikiki beach. I wanted it to work out at holiday inn, but prefer to be in a more comfortable and clean environment for the daily rates.
Holiday Inn Waikiki Excellent service by the staff at theme front desk. The staff accommodated an early check uo and gave us a quiet room on the 17th floor with two queen beds. The staff is quick to get everything you need. We liked the sack breakfast with yogurt, milk, cereal, an orange and banana, breakfast bar and coffee. Great location near restaurants and all is quick, clean, and efficient. Tip: Country Islands market across the street has a deli that’s to order.
