This resort is beautiful, very well taken care off, service is excellent, people always ready to genuinely enhance your experience at the resort. Italian restaurant at the entrance is top notch. Rooms are exceptional, very relaxing. Beach is pretty much private with some locals visiting it almost every day. Perfect with kids and we dont have kids yet. One thing would love bar service at the beach too. Close to Waikiki too.
We first stayed at this property 36 years ago on honeymoon. It was wonderful returning back along with our 2 sons and Daughter in law. The property has retained its mid 60’s charm and exclusivity on an Island which over almost 4 decades has got so built up, commercialised and crowded. One does feel like being in Hawaii whilst at the Kahala, only 15 minutes drive time from Waikiki beach. The staff were very polite and efficient. The beach, bars, SPA and restaurants kept to a very high standard. Special mention goes to Ling Ling, Kaichua at Reception, Koji, Angelin at Concierge and the 2 Managers, Flora at Front office and Justin at the Restaurants.
If you ever have a chance to stay at The Kahala, do it! From the luxury amenities, beautiful views, and amazing staff you will not be disappointed. They truly make you feel soo important and like their ohana.
The Kahala was an amazing first class resort. The property is impeccable and the staff are happy, friendly and always available to accommodate your every need. The resort contacted us a few times to be sure we were happy and they were available via text or telephone.
The Kahala Resort's location is the key to its beauty and comfort. It's easy to get to without going through the traffic of Waikiki and it's tucked away in a corner of the Diamond Head area that is not crowded and heavily traveled. It's easy to get on the freeway to go in either direction and there's great shopping near by and if you want to go into Waikiki, it's a short drive around Diamond Head to get there. Everyone on their staff is first class, you won't be disappointed by staying at the Kahala Resort.
The Kahala surpassed my dreams and expectations. It was a wonderful place to rest and recover. Every staff member treated me like a friend. Everyone was gracious, Our suite was spacious and comfortable. We made friends with staff and visitors alike. We enjoyed the food and the staff and management were very generous with us. Looking forward to another vacation there.
We have stayed at the Kahala twice while we have lived here on Oahu, and of all the resorts we have visited, this is by far the best. The rooms are very large and luxurious, and not to mention comfortable. The dolphins are fun to watch, and the pool and beach areas are nice and quiet. It feels like it's secluded, given that it's several miles from Waikiki. The restaurants are top notch with delicious food as well!
I live on Oahu and took my mother and granddaughter on a staycation at the Kahala. We all had such a wonderful time and tha staff was so polite and helpful that I would love to come back again soon. From the bell service to front desk to housekeeping and restaurants, everyone was so friendly and understanding. My mother is 91 yrs old and she also enjoyed her stay. We will come back again!
Lovely hotel, wonderful views from our ocean side room. Really great food options and restaurants. Fabulous spa. I only wish we had received a lei made of real flowers upon arrival. My yellow seed one reminded me of popcorn kernels and wasn't very appealing.
We’re here to celebrate our anniversary and write a review for a magazine and so far we wouldn’t recommend it. No one answers the phone at the front desk (it rang 20 times before we gave up); no one answers at the restaurants to take a dinner reservation; and the sound of children screaming at the pool reverberates throughout the property. We much prefer Halekulani.
