Our 1 bedroom suite was charming, comfortable, although small. The hotel excels in my most important amenities: wonderful bed (even better than Westin) and relaxing shower, with top notch toiletries. I cannot say enough nice things about the staff, from the front desk to the valets to the housekeepers, everyone was out of your way friendly and helpful. Dinner at One Bellevue after a long drive was outstanding, plump fresh mussels, juicy, flaky halibut, washed down with properly prepared cocktails. We will definitely be back.

Hotel's Favorite
My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Viking this past weekend. We had not been there in years and forgot what a great hotel it is. The valet parking guys were great! Very quick, courteous and a pleasure to chat with. The two young ladies at the front desk were also very nice and very helpful. The public areas were beautiful as was our room. The rooftop bar and the lobby bar were both very comfortable and the service was excellent. Bloody Mary’s were the best we’ve had in Newport! Our son and his wife and our grandchildren live at the the top of Kay Street so we were only minutes away from them. We also met them at Bowen’s Wharf on Saturday for lunch. About a 5 minute walk. First and Second beaches are a short drive from the hotel. We had a great weekend at the Hotel Viking! Hope to return soon!!!

We stayed at Hotel Viking for three nights in October for a medical meeting . We had a wonderful experience. The staff were exceptionally nice and courteous. Especially Kelly, the manager, went above and beyond to accommodate our request. The valet staff was extremely prompt and professional. We had read the great reviews before booking our stay and our stay definitely proved to be outstanding!

Stayed here for a three day weekend. From the minutes we arrived the service was superb. Hotel employees were amazing and very helpful. Love the breakfast at the hotel restaurant, a little pricey but well worth it. Service at the restaurant was also great. Love the bikes in the front of the hotel to be signed out and able to take a bike ride around town. Prime location too

Located in the heart of downtown Newport I found this charming hotel walking distance from Thames Street. Beautiful hotel dating back to the 20's. Simply great hotel. Very clean hotel and staff is on top of everything to make sure your stay is perfect. Cannot say enough about this property. Absolutely loved the Junior Suite. So much room. Will definitely be staying here again. Great area to visit to take in an era gone by. The Cliff walk is a must do as well as the mansion tours.
