My wife and I stayed at Architect's Inn while making our way through various New England locations, staying mostly at Bed & Breakfast type venues along the way. This particular stay ranks squarely in the middle quartile of those venues. The location is quite central, well within walking distance to many of the historic sites of Newport and various dining...

I got an unusual, response from the proprietor, which did not address my disappointment, but instead a different approach was taken. Therefore, I felt it important to further clarify my evaluation of the property. It is my intent to help people in choosing lodging that meets their needs and expectation, so they walk away happy. Constructive reviews also help a...

My husband and I just stayed here for a murder mystery weekend. We both had an enjoyable experience from start to finish. First, let me say that we booked straight from the Architect Inn website. From the start we were made aware of the cost, time frames and "rules" that others have complained about, but I saw no issues. I...

I went with my girlfriend to a Murder Mystery Weekend that I somehow stumbled upon finding online. I saw some very positive reviews, so I had high expectations coming into it. To make a long story short, our weekend well exceeded our expectations. I am already looking forward to coming back in the future. As for the "Mystery"- I don't...

We stayed there for one night in October and were alone in the house as it was off-season. Nevertheless we had a great stay, the house and property were lovely and we even got complementary muffins, coffee and tea for breakfast. Our room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, so despite the low temperatures, we had a great stay.

Such a beautiful Victorian home that has been lovingly converted into a cozy B&B. Nick is an excellent and accomidating host. Brian is a talented and capable chef. My husband and I were thrilled to be able to participate in one of the Murder Mystery Weekends. Only thing we can say is how much fun it all was. Scavanger hunts...

The innkeepers are friendly and informative. Great central location. We walked almost everywhere Delicious food. Expensive but on par for Newport. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated. Plenty of parking

I took my Mom to Newport for a weekend getaway. Neither of us had been to the town and we planned to focus on visiting the Mansions. This Inn was a great home base! Nick and Brian offered us a warm welcome, helped us plan our days and recommended restaurants, helping us make the most of our brief visit. The...

I used booking.com to reserve a room at the Architect's Inn. That was a mistake, for the rate provided there did not include breakfast. This was my mistake for not catching the omission, but I do expect breakfast at a B&B, otherwise it would just be a B. Adding breakfast was amazingly expensive, so I skipped that, figuring I'd learned...

We just returned from a wonderful 5 night stay at Architect's Inn in Newport RI, but must say that after reading the earlier somewhat negative review were rather nervous about our trip. On arrival, we wondered if we were staying in the same place as Ralph11 from Paris, France or did he just go out of his way and attempt...
