We stayed in the rose suit for 2 nights, it was very nice and clean, comfortable for us as we had our toddler daughter traveling with us. It was in walking distance of the city center and the water front. Pat, the owner was very nice and helped with plans and recommendations, as we had quite a lot of bags they were very nice and helped carry it up the stairs. The bathroom was outside the room, private but not in it. Breakfast was nice but could have had more variety. They have a beautiful Siberian husky dog!

We recently stayed at the Thames Street Guest house and as previous reviews state, I cannot stress how hospitable the owner Pat is! We stayed in the Blue Suite which has a king sized bed, couch and en-suite bath. The room was huge and so comfortable - felt like we were staying with relatives. The house itself is beautiful and is perfectly nestled in the more neighborhood-y part of thames which is great because it's still walking distance to anything but far enough away that it is quiet and relaxing. And a major plus - their husky Onyx is too cute. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

We just stayed at the Thames House Guesthouse this past weekend and we really enjoyed it. The host Pat, her friend Stewart & the dog Onyx were very friendly and helpful through out the weekend. We stayed in the Rose Suite on the second floor which was pretty big. It had a bedroom with a huge king size bed (very high, too!) and a chair, and a living room with a pullout bed, a couch, a TV and a mini fridge. However, the bathroom was outside in the hallway but it was our own. Free Breakfast was served between 8:30 and 10:30 in the kitchen but we ate it outside in the backyard. Free wifi was also available and reliable. The guesthouse is very well located in Newport's historic district near all the shops, restaurants, and the wharfs, which was very convenient. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Wharfs and a 10 min drive to Second Beach. We could walk about everywhere (except for the beach) and there is a free parking spot in the back (on Cross street). There are several interesting historic houses & businesses from the 1700's near by. We highly recommend this bed & breakfast in Newport.

Charming home right in the heart of Newport's historic district. After a lot of research found that it is the best value in town. Went on a girls vacation and had 2 rooms, a bedroom with a king size bed and a sitting room with a queen size futon, couch and TV. The suite does have a full private bath located 2 steps from the sitting room. The guest house has off street parking - a must in Newport, especially in the summer. All the action is within walking distance with the exception of the Mansion Tours - they have their own parking lots. Pat our hostess was a delight with a special bonus - people friendly Onyx, the welcoming committee in the attached photo! Was very sad to leave.

My husband & I stayed at the Thames Street Guest House this weekend. We can't say enough about how welcoming, friendly and helpful Gary & Patty were. We felt like welcomed guests in their beautiful home. They provided us with recommendations of restaurants and sites of maps and brochures of things to do in Newport and were so nice to talk to. We felt like we knew them forever. The location of the guest house is perfect..we walked everywhere! Highly recommend a trip to Newport and make sure you book Thames Guest House!
