My wife and I had a terrible stay here , dirty rooms [ looks nothing like the images ] & linens and what appeared to be rodent dropping in the bathroom!!! We did't expect much but were not prepared for how unclean & rundown this place was for what they were charging , not recommend .

This was a late booking for a popular weekend in Newport, so the rate we paid for this sub-par room was ridiculous. I really thought it would be much better but we were terribly disappointed. Our room was right off the kitchen and the door had a big crack in it which lets light (and noise) in. It was also... More

We went in late September for a weekend away and picked Elm Street In for its location to the harbor activities and price. We were upgraded from a queen room to the top floor king room which was appreciated. It had its own TV and bathroom which I guess is a luxury for a B&B. I gave it an average... More

We were very disappointed in the stay here. First we were told to meet the person with the key on the other side of the island and with the traffic of Labor Day it took 1.5 to get there after driving 1 hour and 45 minutes from Connecticut. Then when we got to the B&B we realized it was dumpy.... More

Rick is a sneaky businessman. Lied about the property parking cost etc etc. assume no parking if he tells you there is. Assume a disgusting room if he tells you it's renovated. Assume to be taken for a ride. We mentioned to him the poor reviews before booking- And he said oh don't believe those things. Well believe this one.... More

My wife, myself and our 3rd grade son stayed over the Memorial Day weekend on the top floor. We were scared a little by the bad reviews but desperate considering the last minute decision to go to Newport. Turned out staff was very good calling us on the road at 2am without prompting to make sure we were not lost,... More

I stayed here with friends Memorial Day weekend 2013 (Friday - Monday) and it was an awful experience. The owner moved us to another location (he owns 6 different locations) to accommodate a 3rd person in our group but failed to tell us that it wasn't in the same location as the other 5 properties and was farther away from... My husband and I stayed here last week for a last minute end of the summer night. We were looking for a place that let us bring our dog, and the owners said this was their only place they allowed it because the whole house had wood floors. The room was average, bed and bathroom reasonably comfortable. We actually had... More

Was looking for a last minute one night room in Newport and ended up here. The Inns of Newport reception person worked with us to find something and was very honest in saying it was a very small room and the last one they had. However, the rest of the description is what I want to tell. The Elm Street... More

If you want an extremely unpleasant experience, then you should definitely make a reservation here! The room pictured on the website is quite beautiful, but in reality, it is a nightmare. When we checked in, we were expecting a lovely suite to accommodate myself and my daughters, but what we found was quite the opposite! Pictured on the room's photo... More
