To say that this is tastefully renovated is an understatement! Everything about it is pleasing to the senses: the quiet, the modern amenities, the luxurious bathrooms/shower, towels, etc., the linens, the climate control, the furniture and spaciousness of both the room and the public areas — it's all top drawer and a great value on the dollar. The breakfast is superb, the attention-to-detail is evident throughout the Inn. Light snacks and refreshments are provided throughout the afternoon. There are well-kept gardens and sitting areas outside.

It's location is every bit as pleasing. Easy walk to both the waterfront, Thames Street, Memorial Blvd., Bellevue Ave and the mansions, It will be our only choice when visiting Newport in the future, which we love doing every year or so.

Thank you for putting your heart and soul into making this such a pleasant, comfortable, relaxing place to spend the weekend in Newport!

I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast! Just simply being here is so relaxing and enjoyable! Husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here. Rooms were immaculate and decorated beautifully. Morning breakfast was so delicious and the hostess was so sweet. It's a bit pricey, but if you've never been to a B&B this one is nice to check out. Location is great- a short walk to Thames St and all the shops.

My daughters and I stayed (Charles Hunter Suite) April 27 thru May 1st and enjoyed every minute. Check in was seamless, room more than adequate and quiet while the breakfasts were so good/ great quantity that we did not need to eat lunch. This B & B is situated is so well located that you can walk to just about anywhere whether it be restaurants or sightseeing. Highly recommended.

This was my husband's and my first time to Newport, and we had a wonderful time. The Bayberry Inn's hosts and guests were very welcoming, yet we had all the privacy we wanted. The Inn was beautifully decorated and spotless. After our 7.5 mile Cliff walk/hike, we trudged back to cold drinks, cookies and the jacuzzi! Did we mention the wonderful breakfast?!!

This Inn was in walkable distance to the marina, shopping and most of the restaurants we had reservations to. Can't wait to come back! Thanks for your hospitality!

I stayed at the bayberry recently with my now fiancé. Jess have us an amazing experience. We felt at home but spoiled by her superb expertise in local attractions and the best host we’ve experienced thus far! We had minor WiFi problems just Jess made a phone call to get it fixed right away and addressed the problem promptly. Breakfast was amazing and different every morning and was also prepared by Jess (who stays on property which is a plus!)She printed our tickets out and made reservations without hesitating. Jess was the perfect host in the perfect town. Our stay couldn’t of been more enjoyable and relaxing.

The Bayberry Suite was everything we could have ever imagined. Coming in at 3pm after 6 hours of travel and quite a bit of sleep deprivation, the room was as comfortable as you could ever imagine.

We were lucky enough to be alone in the house for the entire night. The bathroom was beyond fantastic, the fireplace coupled with the air conditioning kept everything extremely comfortable. Sleeping in was the easiest thing we could have done.

Breakfast was the following morning and we were attended by Tait who could cook up a pretty good omelette and sausages.

Dude also has pretty good taste in music too. I can appreciate that. I had to ask him for his playlist that he played during breakfast
All in all, we had a great night. Only wish we had the money to spend one more or two.

Disgusting experience!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed there for 2 tonight.
breakfast was really bad. They served us spoiled orange juice that was already carbonated. I felt bad the following day.

Our rooms were ok , even though,
old air conditioner that is installed in the window was making such a loud noise.
oh, before checking out, my wife noticed that we were overcharged with some fees and taxes($300 ) regardless of the fact that we already paid for everything.

After conversation with the owner regarding the overcharge , we received the text message that we are not welcome anymore in this house, and we must leave immediately.!!!!!
I’ve been traveling around the world, had been staying in different hotels, meeting different people, have never been so humiliated, considering that it was $600 per night.
that was supposed to be our family vacation, and that was supposed to be a good experience, good service, and they were supposed to treat us well, in my opinion that’s what you’re supposed to receive when you paying so much per night.

Sorry to hear you feel this way. We do not permit screaming and yelling in the house as it disturbs other guests. You were kindly asked to leave due to the misconduct and poor guests behavior. Clearly your review is inaccurate which is shown by comparing this to other guest reviews. We love and cherish all of our guests and take pride in the service we provide. It is our responsibility to ensure that all guests have a safe and pleasant environment. Unfortunately, you chose not to abide by simple house standards. We are an 18 and over property. Bringing your children is not something we can allow out of respect to other guests. Thank you.

This was our first stay at a B&B and we were super happy and impressed with our experience. The whole inn is very beautifully decorated, and is comfortable and cozy. The room was very nice, and the bathroom even nicer! Definitely paid attention to detail. Same amenties as a hotel room- fridge, iron/board, toiletries, robes, etc. The bed was a little firm for us, but that’s an us issue.

The location is great; not too far away from the touristy area but far enough not to be bothered with the noise. If it wasn’t so cold and rainy while we were there, it would have made a nice ten minute walk. We weren’t expecting the big parking lot attached but it was a great surprise as street parking is hard to come by.

Tait was very hospitable and friendly during our stay. He made us a delicious breakfast, and chatted with us about things to do in the area and gave us some tips. It was interesting to hear the history of the inn from him! We stayed one night at Gurneys before coming to the inn, and we MUCH preferred our experience at the inn. We already have told family & friends that this is a must stay in Newport. We definitely would stay here again and highly recommend it!

The inn is in a beautiful old house within easy walking distance of the busy area of Newport and other attractions. Our room had a sitting area, bedroom and large bathroom, all clean. The bed was comfortable, temperature was good and it was quiet. Breakfast was fantastic, prepared by a chef with whom we chatted briefly and who said his focus is on good, healthy food and fitness. One morning he made a soft boiled egg and grilled vegetables, and the next he made a cheese and mushroom "egg bite". In addition to the hot food there was help-yourself yogurt, fruit cups, juices and coffee. All was delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

Bayberry is our new go-to in Newport! The property is lovely and the rooms spacious and wonderfully designed and decorated.
Everything is immaculate and the historic nature of the property is complemented by the upscale modern, yet warm, decor.
Gourmet 3 course breakfast is included with your stay. Ours was yogurt & fresh fruit, delicious gluten free blueberry pancakes with maple syrup and fresh berries and then a zucchini, tomato egg bake with chicken sausage and toast!
There’s a wonderful gas fire pit in back yard and ample off street parking. Tait the chef provided us with a delicious charcuterie board and the best homemade guacamole and chips we’d ever had! Nikki takes wonderful care of the property and it surely appears to be a labor of love for both.
