This is a beautiful place to spend a night. We were in the apartment on the second floor, which has a full kitchen, full bath, a large bedroom with queen bed, and a small bedroom with two bunk beds. There is a large living room full of books, games, puzzles, etc. The first floor has a bath but no kitchen... More

I really enjoyed seeing all the lighthouses in Narraganset Bay. The guide shared the history of each lighthouse and many other attractions. I'm tempted to check out staying at the Rose Island Lighthouse

we got there via the water taxi that stops at various places around Newport. There was a family staying there for the week, and the young teen daughter gave us a tour of the lighthouse and other highlights. nice relaxing informative.

I recently spent the night here with a group of friends. It was so relaxing to wake up, look out the window, and see water and sailboats so close. The lighthouse is very charming but rustic. There was an indoor shower but the water pressure was so low that it was difficult to get all of the soap out of... More

This is a fantastic getaway for a couple looking to relax. Please note that there are little to no amenities here... the only food is what you bring with you, and the bathrooms are outside. You are also responsible for changing your own sheets. But that is part of the charm. You will fall asleep by the sound of the... More

We loaded our kayaks and paddled from the Brenton Cove, passing Goat Island to the Rose Island Lighthouse. It was a wonderful visit at the Rose Island Lighthouse, especially the lighthouse tour guide was extremely friendly and gave us loads history. It is a non-profit organization and you can stay over-nights at the lighthouse or have wedding there. The view... More

Skilled ferryman and guide, Chris graciously greets you and brings you to this unbelievable gem! Inside the lighthouse, you can stay a night or for a week. While you will need your own provisions, there is a kitchen and bathroom available, as well as grills and minimal linens. Or you can take a short trip to Newport or other destinations... More

Stayed in the Keepers Quarters 2 nights and it was one of the most fantastic experiences ever. Peaceful, relaxing are two of the words to describe the island. Next time we will go later in the year to be able to explore more when the birds are no longer nesting. Definitely need another stay! Highly recommended.

What a beautiful place! The lighthouse is a lot of fun to explore. Definitely planning a trip back soon to spend more time there. I really enjoyed being able to climb up to the catwalk and see the view. It was lovely.

My father and I went to the Rose Island lighthouse in October 2014 to stay overnight and wow! What a neat place to visit!! There are more sea shells on this island than anywhere I've visited in all my life. We chose to sleep initially in the foghorn room, but unknown to either of us, there are a lot of... More
