My wife and I stayed at the Spring Street Inn for two nights and would definitely not recommend this B & B. The mattress was synthetic, the sheets were thread bare and gave the appearance that they had not been washed, and there was only a sheet cover for an eiderdown. No blankets were provided in the room if you... More

As we checked your room for all the faults you reported and found no mold, no broken mirrors or no broken towel rails one thing we did find was an enormous amount of towels and bath robes from the previous hotel you stayed at. As I called that General Manager to discuss if he had any guest over the weekend... More

My friends and I booked to stay here over the busy 4th of July weekend! The Inn is really well located, and very tidy and cute! We had three people total, and when the owner couldn't locate their spare cot, he went out and purchased an air mattress! He was extremely helpful with recommendations, as well as having maps etc... We didn't get off to a great start as we arrived at the agreed time (agreed by email), to find no-one at home (and it was pouring with rain). Phone calls ensued with the owner Phil and eventually we gained access. Our room, 4, on the first floor, was compact but we knew it would be. Unfortunately there were a... More

The owner and staff were very nice. We were in room #2. It was located next to the breakfast room which was fine. It was a king size bed that needs to be replaced. It was very soft and very uncomfortable. The location was very convenient for walking to all the sights. Overall it was a good inn. They just... More

My husband and I spent two nights at Spring Street Inn. It was very cozy and conveniently located. Some pluses were, a place to park! Although the lot was tight, it was so easy to park our car and forget about it! Everything was in walking distance so we were set! The day we arrived, I received a call to... More

Rarely post other than a positive review, but rely on TripAdvisor reviews and want candid reviews, so . . . 4:00ish afternoon arrival (within 3-6 p.m. specified check-in period) at Spring Street Inn (SSI); NOT as advertised [no fridge, no proprietor despite his a.m. call that he (following after-school pick up of his daughter)/someone else would be on premises &... We recently stayed here one evening while on our way to Martha's Vineyard. We were in room six. Nice comfortable room with a distant view of the water. Parking was tight but it worked fine. You can easily walk to waterfront, restaurants and mansions. Like a previous reviewer said - it was like staying in someone's home. The staff was... More

We stayed here during the Jazz Fest weekend. Our room was comfortable although small, with private bath, wifi and air conditioning. Breakfasts were wonderful as were the snacks available throughout the day. Location was great---easy walking distance to many attractions. Parking was available but some jockeying for position needed. We would stay here again.

Room was comfortable... Shower was nice and hot.... Close to town...walkable. Big disappointment was breakfast table seating was full, people were waiting in foyer which is 4ft room... sitting on stairway. We had to make them move so we could get down the stairs. We wouldn't have minded the wait but wanted to get coffee. You know us New Yorkers... More

Lovely Inn, very attentive staff, great location for leaving your car and walking to area happenings, restaurants, bars, port. Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable bed as well as quiet. The breakfast that was included was delicious! And if you don't want what they offer for the main breakfast they were more than happy to accommodate you with... More
