This is an actual historic building, one of a group on Clarke St. If you want a new, large chain hotel then you should go somewhere else. But if you want personal, friendly attention in a place with history - this is it. It's updated enough that things work in the bathroom, but the wide-plank floors creak like they should... More

The breakfast was minimal but the rooms were spacious enough and very well kept. The location was excellent, right in the middle of downtown and easily accessible to the beach. Walking distance to great shops an restaurants. The beach is walkable but there is also a bus that brings you right near the cliff walk for only $2. Would definitely... More

Visited this Inn a few weeks ago, location is great, very central and quiet, with free parking. Our room was charming but very small, with no space to hang or store our jackets or any item of clothing. Breakfast was a bit cramped, served in a tiny room, with subpar coffee and no selection of cold cereals or fresh fruits.... More

This is our third time staying at one of "The Inns of Newport". We have stayed previously at The Cleveland House, but upon arriving today were told by the proprietor that the room we requested would be noisy due to some renovation. He offered us an upgraded room across the street at The Clarkeson. The home is historic and tastefully... More

My family and I stayed here after Christmas and had a wonderful time. This place is within walking distance of most things in the downtown/warf area. Rick was a great host and was very accommodating. My family rented the suite on the 3rd floor as well as another bedroom on the same floor. Both rooms were very clean and well... More

Me and my boyfriend came for New Year's Eve and to spend a few days in the town. We picked this location on a Groupon deal and it was my first time there so I was pretty excited. From the first minute we checked in the owner was overly accommodating to us, changed our room to a nice one, gave... More
