Very nice staff and spacious room. Breakfast had options for all. Cookies and wine later in day was a plus! Clean! Quaint and comfortable. Close to all restaurants and shops, everything within walking distance. Great location!
Wonderfully quaint, employees could not have been nicer. Parking tight but they manage to keep it under control - YES I said parking!! Yolanda's baking downstairs is wonderful. She can bake croissants like a master. Room clean and sweet. Location location location.
I recently stayed with my mother for a girls trip and it was perfect for the two of us. We stayed in a room on the first floor with 2 queen beds. The beds were very comfortable and had a variety of pillows. We didn't...More
It was a very charming inn, with lots of old world charm, including somewhat squeaky floors and thin walls and doors. The beds were super comfortable, the location was perfect -- you can leave your car in the lot and basically walk everywhere: the beach,...More
We had a generous room in the carriage house and the breakfast spread surprised my wife with G/F bread available, but at $300+ per night it was probably a little expensive. Gavier was a helpful host & was v quick to get us settled in...More

Hi there. I'm the inn manager at the Yankee Peddler, so I thought I'd do my best to answer your questions. We opened for the 2015 season on April 10 and already have had many happy guests. One Trip Advisor review has been posted since the reopening -- it is titled "A Hidden Gem." It was posted a few days ago, so you should see it there at this point. In terms of room choices, it really depends on your priorities! The Carriage House is most economical, whereas the Superior 1Q rooms and 2Q suites have four-poster beds and decorative fireplaces. Standard rooms are one notch up from Carriage House but in the Main House, on the second and third floors. All guests in all rooms are free to enjoy the rooftop deck, accessed from the third floor. For meals, we offer a self-serve complimentary continental breakfast which is simple but hearty. Fact is, with our location in central historic Newport, there are SO many restaurants at all price ranges within easy walking distance that experience tells us our guests prefer to be out and about for meals other than breakfast or that first cup of coffee. In the afternoons, we do offer fresh-baked cookies, and coffee/tea is available throughout the day. Parking and wifi are complimentary at the Yankee Peddler as well. In short, we are a truly great value with fine, clean, comfortable rooms in an authentic setting in the heart of historic Newport (if I do say so myself). Please let us know if we can help with further information or if you'd like to discuss specific room availability on the dates you might be visiting. We are always here at 401-846-1323 or, of course, you can contact us by email. Thanks for your inquiry, and have a nice day! Laura

"Although we ascended the stairs I still prefer that to the main floor. New roof top patio."
