The Ivy Lodge was peaceful and beautiful when we arrived in its foyer. We were greeted by a warm fire and welcoming staff. My husband and I were there for only one night during the quiet week between Thanksgiving and the beginning of the Christmas season. We were the Lodge's only guests that night, and we had the full attention... More

Everything anyone could hope for in a Victorian Bed and Breakfast experience. Clean and tastefully decorated. Comfortable bed in the Library Guest Room. Plenty of room with a beautiful gas fireplace. Nice HD TV and Jacuzzi bath for 2. The Inn Keepers Jackie and Don are very friendly and laid back. Great hot breakfasts. Walking distance to the mansions. Very... More

My husband and I just left this wonderful inn. The innkeepers are amazing...breakfast was excellent. Everything was clean and very comfortable. We stayed for two nights and walked to three of the mansions, and walked a part of the cliff walk..I would recommend this place to stay!!!!

We are a family of 4 visiting Newport for the first time for 2 days. I was having a hard time looking for a room that can accommodate all 4 of us. I considered myself lucky to chance upon Ivy Lodge,Satterlee Suite, which can nicely fit all of us. We simply love the spacious, clean and beautiful suite which had... More

The Ivy Lodge is a wonderful B&B. Don and Jacqui were truly wonderful hosts. They are so incredibly knowledgeable about the area and made perfect local suggestions. We walked to the mansions and did the entire ocean/cliff walk. We were so pleased with the area and that it was a bit away from the main bustling Thames street, but still... More

My husband and I, along with some friends, visited The Ivy Lodge in September while staying in Newport, RI. This place is located close to the Mansions which is a plus, but I consider it to be average at best.

We stayed recently to attend a wedding and stayed at the Queen's room. Very well decorated, superb attention, breakfast was included as well as evening snacks. No elevator but help is available. Ni place to stay for a quiet get away.

We enjoy staying at Bed & Breakfasts and Boutique Hotels. The Ivy Lodge met and/or exceeded our expectations. It is centrally located to many of the mansions and the cliff walk. We appreciated being away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown. Our room was cozy and spotless. The beds and furnishings quite comfortable,Our hosts were extremely helpful in... More

We stayed here with another couple in the spring of 2014. The inn is beautiful. The woodwork in the lobby is breathtaking. The rooms are just what you would expect in a B&B. The breakfasts are delicious, cooked to order and the innkeeper always has a great story or a recommendation.

We just left our stay at Ivy Lodge in Newport and it was wonderful! The house is charming and our room was very comfortable! We checked in and the innkeeper helped us find a spot for dinner. He gave us a map and pointed out some of his favorite places. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and the coffee was... More
