Lovely stay with very welcoming staff and a tasty breakfast. Really appreciated the snacks and hot chocolate available on arrival. Stayed in the cozy Pine Room with very well appointed bathroom—loved the deep soaking tub. The hallway and staircase are just stunning, as are all the common rooms. Convenient to the Cliff Walk and downtown area which had lots of eating choices. Would stay again.

The Ivy Lodge is in walking distance to downtown and many of the mansions. It is a beautiful historic building with charm and character for days. My husband & I stayed in late August with another couple and we met in the dining room each morning for a delightful breakfast served by our host. There is also a wrap around porch that we loved to lounge late night on with our friends. If there was something as a five star breakfast, this would be it! Highly recommend the Ivy Lodge!

My husband and I just returned from a 5 day stay at Ivy Lodge. This was our 3rd visit and we are already planning our 4th. The home is lovely, comfortable and spotless. We feel as though we are staying with friends and family. Don and Jacqui are so welcoming and accommodating we couldn’t ask for more. Every room is different and each is a gem. Breakfast every morning is such a fun time, not to mention delicious. We were able to take advantage of the EBikes that are there and had a wonderful morning biking all over Newport. We walked over to a Mansion for a tour, which was right around the corner. We also walked over to the Cliff Walk. The location is truly ideal. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when in Newport. We were joined by some friends for this visit and they were as taken with the Ivy Lodge as we are.

The inn is gorgeous, clean, and well kept. The entryway alone will take your breath away. The breakfasts were delicious. We greatly enjoyed our stay in the Library room. We will definitely be back. I would absolutely recommend the Ivy Lodge to anyone visiting Newport.

My wife and I were headed to Newport to attend the Newport Jazz Festival, and I searched and found the Ivy Lodge. To say that we were pleased is an absolute understatement! We were arriving late in the evening, but the proprietor, Don, was extremely communicative during the reservation and arrival process. He accommodated us and we found our room with ease. Upon arrival, the room was ready and the a/c ad been set to keep the room cool yet comfortable. There is ample parking in the lot adjoining the property for all guests, although it does get filled up. There were also several pick-up trucks, so accommodating any size car should not be a problem. A word about communication - we were scheduled to go last year and then Covid hit. Don was exceptional dealing with this and allowing us to roll our reservation over to this year. What's more so, we wanted to have beach chairs for use at the show. Don was absolutely a prince in allowing me to ship the chairs to the property which he then accepted and held for us. He related a story that another guest actually shipped a cooler for the fish he had hoped to catch while in Newport. I would guess that there are few requests that Don could not accommodate. A huge part of a Bed and Breakfast is - well, breakfast! Coffee was out at 7:30 each day and was quickly replenished when we drained it. The breakfasts were delivered at 8:30, and were extremely tasty and plentiful. We stared with yogurt and fruit, and would then move to the second course where amazing. We never went hungry and often, had more than anticipated to eat. Each evening there were cookies and brownie bites left out to enjoy. This is a gorgeous property, lovingly cared for by Don and Jaquie. I would not hesitate and are actually considering a return to the area, and to the Ivy Lodge. I would similarly not hesitate in recommending it to anyone.
