Enjoyed a really great trip to Newport, RI staying at the Mill Street Inn. All the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful, especially Laurie and Jamie. We arrived early and were able to park and head a block away to wharf area. We were sent a text to let us know early check in was available. Location was perfect, halfway between the wharf area and Bellevue St. We were able to walk almost everywhere. Each night, a menu of breakfast choices was left and we received the tasty items at the time of our choice to the door in the morning. We opted not to have cleaning service but ice and towels were brought as requested. The rooftop terrace was a plus where we enjoyed BYOB in the evening watching the sunset over the water. We chose the two room suite and were very happy with the space and decor. We had no trouble with the on-site parking.

Mill Street Inn could not be a more perfect hotel for a couples stay in Newport. Very clean, well maintained and updated while giving off a rustic vibe (e.g. exposed brick throughout). The location is perfect for exploring Newport without being too much in the center of everything. They provide room service breakfast every morning with coffee, pastries, yogurt, fruit, etc which varies daily and is fantastic. There is free parking in a lot on site. There is also a really cute roof deck with nice views to hang out or eat lunch (they do not offer/ serve any food or drinks). The front desk is very welcoming and friendly and brought us ice and extra towels on several occasions. The only slight downside was we could not get into our room until the 3pm check in time and they do not offer late check out, but with Covid cleaning precautions both are understandable. Highly recommend!!

My husband and I stayed at the Mill St. Inn for a weekend recently. Our room was a deluxe suite type, and I think it was Room 108. I specify this because it had its own outside entrance on the ground floor (as well as the one from the main hall inside), which was super convenient. The room was very comfortable, and it was extra nice to have a separate living room. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but they do deliver continental breakfast to your room each morning. It wasn't a big meal, but we really enjoyed it. The coffee was excellent. Newport was very crowded the weekend we were there, and we appreciated being within walking distance of pretty much everything we wanted to do. The location of this hotel is hard to beat.

Great little hotel, right in town, close to anything you'll want to do in Newport. 1. Rooms very clean, modern, very comfortable bedding. 2. Free breakfast good for early morning start (yogurt, granola, pastry, fruit cup.) 3. WiFi - very fast, perfect. 4. Parking - lot on site with easy entry into hotel 5. Tesla charging: They only have 120 volt access so not great. Addition of a 240 volt charging station highly recommended especially with onset of more EV's! 6. Handicap accessibility: no elevator so you may want to request 1st floor room if wheel chair or other mobility restrictions (easy entry from parking lot - no steps or barriers.) 7. Staff very friendly and helpful. Overall highly recommended, better than staying at Marriott or other hotel 'chain'!

The Mill Street Inn was fantastic especially for a dog owner. Our suite was large and in a great location. We walked to the waterfront to eat every night so no parking issues. It was a short drive to the mansions, International Tennis Hall of Fame and Cliff Walks. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is cooked to order and brought to your room. I brought my own steel cut oatmeal and they would prepare it for me. Parking is tough but this is true in most urban areas. Parking is onsite which is a plus. Highly recommend and hopefully will repeat one day.
