This place is a gem. My girlfriend and I stayed for a few days during the week; it was her first time in Newport and my second. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer breakfast on their roof deck which has a nice view where you can also enjoy the sunset. They also offer afternoon tea/snacks but we... More

We decided to take a couple days of our honeymoon to go to Newport...we opted for the townhouse suite at the hotel. There aren't many hotels that offer two floor suites! First off the hotel is in a great location, 2 block walk to two of the main streets in Newport. Our room got cleaned everyday. The bed was the... More

The hotel staff is quite nice and professional, but the property needs an update. Dirty rugs and furniture made for an uncomfortable stay. With some attention to detail, it could be a nice inn. Close to everything in downtown Newport.

The hotel was nice, but nothing exceptional and the price was outrageous. I thought the hotel would have a more historic feel, but other than exposed brick walls, there was very little charm. The beds were awful and the pillows were basically sheets with feathers in them--why bother? The bathroom was dreary--no tub and an 'open' shower (no door) with... More

Stayed at the Mill Street Inn for one night and wish it had been longer. We arrived early and parked for free on the premises. We felt as if we were in a small European hotel. It is 1 or 2 blocks from the center of all the action in Newport, but was very serene and welcoming. We had a... More

We spent only 1 night at the Mill Street Inn. It was even better than we expected. Our room was spacious, and the complimentary afternoon tea (and coffee and fresh baked goods) was just what we needed. The rooftop deck for breakfast was perfect. We wished we had the time for a second night. Will definitely return and highly recommend... More

Mill Street Inn is a great place to stay. Our suite was very comfortable with a great bedroom and separate sitting area. The bed was comfortable with lovely linen, and we appreciated the classy bathroom toiletries. The sitting area was smart, and comfortable too. Breakfast was great - good coffee and lovely cereals, bagels, canapés, juice etc. We would have... More

I made the reservation in a hurry, because it looked as though Newport places were selling fast. My first gripe is that Mill Street Inn had a FIVE DAY cancellation policy, which I find ludicrous. If Newport is that popular in June, they obviously would have been able to replace us if we had to cancel a couple of days... More

Mill St was terrific. Rooms were clean, modern, they left a goodnight note w some candy. Best part was the roof deck. Brunch was super yummy w lots of options. After we checked out at 11, I went back up for another hour or so. Parking was perfect and location was good. Some of the staff were exceptionally nice, couple... More
