This is not a "resort" by any means. The property was absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't let my dog sleep in the room. None of pictures presented on the website are accurate. The green pond on property was gross, not to mention a breeding group for snakes and mosquitoes. Yes, I saw numerous snakes and mosquitoes. Because of the false advertising by this DUMP, we still had to pay one night because we didn't cancel per the 24 hour policy. I would never recommend this place, as a matter of fact, it would be best to close this place down. Management should be ashamed of themselves.

I recently had my wedding at this resort on 04/23/2022. I was so excited to get married here! we have been planning this wedding since January! When I tell you it was a show from the beginning. We got there Friday night there was no receptionist on Saturday to check anyone i, no staff to take care of guest, or help with details of the wedding. I had to use my own plates buy my own cups silverware, decorations, table clothes, all of it, the all wasn't cleaned. The property wasn't cleaned, nothing. Literally no one was there. Saturday when I went in to decorate the waitress was rude and very disrespectful. Had no clue there was a wedding even though it was planned months in advance. We spent 500 on the hall, a 120 dollars for a room I rented out 7 rooms nd they were required to pay even if no one came and was required to pay the day before as now one was in the office on Saturday! Then I asked the rude waitress if I could use the specials sign to put my own sign to use for people to know where the wedding was. 10 minutes after the sign was put out the waitress went to the road ripped my sign off and threw it in the road and put their sign in her car. Then called the owners Dean and Susan and told them I had stolen it as it was in her car the entire time. Then owener then threaten to press charges on me because I stole his sign whom his waitress! She had the whole time. We waited two and a half hours for burnt food and when I reached out to complain he defended his staff! I am in complete awe of this unprofessional behavior! I would not do anything special in this hell hole! there was cockroaches in the kitchen the oil was black and tasted burnt. The rooms were dirty and full of dead bugs... they were not prepared for a wedding of that size and it showed. Dean and Susan should be ashamed of themselves. Please be aware and stay clear of this place it will get you sick! Please save your money! My weekend was ruined and then I was blamed of doing something I would never do! I now will be going to counseling and am so sick I haven't stop crying in two days.

The word "Resort" is an absolute misrepresentation. The website pictures do not exist in real life. The property looks like it has not been maintained in years. Dead bugs, overgrown weeds, trash; the property definitely lacked any sort of landscaping. The pond in the back of the "Resort" is stagnant and a proper breeding ground for mosquitoes. Chicken wire runs the perimeter of the pond. Based on all of the above and the looks of the rooms from the outside, we did not stay. We left the "Resort" feeling like we had been to Bates Motel.

First and foremost I have to thank April, who was a complete SAINT to my husband and I on one of the worst days we have ever had. Where to begin... This is going to be long, but stick with me... I made reservations for a Friday and Saturday at the motel as my Husband and I planned to take our boat to Roosevelt. It would be his first time ever at the lake, and we couldn't wait to "break open" the 2021 boating season. We arrived at Roosevelt Lake, and spent the day on the water in our 1970 Glastron boat. Around 4:30 we were under the large arch bridge by the dam, when my husband noticed water flooding into the back of the boat. Thankfully he was able to floor it and get us to a shoreline. Our boat ultimately ended up full of water, however tied to the shoreline. The engine had snapped from the transom, we were lucky to have made it to shore before it sinking to the bottom. We had to call 911 for rescue. It was AWFUL. We called and cancelled our reservations at the motel, as we figured we would head home. The gentleman I spoke to was so helpful, and the manager on duty was super sympathetic to our case. They actually allowed us to cancel both nights free of charge, and expressed their sympathies to us for our situation. However as the rescue took so long we then realized we would have to stay the night, and attempt to get the boat the following day. At this point (8:30) we realized we were stranded with nowhere to go. We decided on taking a chance and swinging by the motel to see if there was any way to get a room. We pulled in to a full lot, and figured we were sh*t out of luck. My husband rolled down the window and asked two gentleman standing in front of the restaurant/bar where the office was. They advised us it was inside and at that exact moment April happened to be coming outside. She asked us what we needed and my husband proceeded to explain our predicament. I cannot express how absolutely HELPFUL and wonderful she was. As their website states the latest check in is 7, the fact that April went above and beyond, calling her manager to see what they could do for us, was seriously a godsend to us after such a disastrous day. She was able to find a room for us, gave us a discount at the bar (we all know we NEEDED a few drinks at this point) and expressed her sincere condolences to us for the day we had. I was on the verge of tears at her generosity. Everyone we encountered that evening was pleasant, funny, and overall exuded superior customer service. The room was very nice, clean, and we had a view of the pond. We were in #1 of the motel. We didn't get to fully experience and enjoy the motel as we wished we could have, due to the urgency of our situation however from what we saw, it is well kept, the grounds are beautiful and all the buildings seem to be well maintained. We did eat at the restaurant the night of arrival, and everything we had was great. My husband got the Patti Melt and I got the Roosevelt Burger. I have to say the fries were some of the best we have EVER HAD. In conclusion, based on the helpfulness, cleanliness, quaintness and location we will 100% be back (once we buy a new boat that is!) ;) HUGE SHOUT OUT TO APRIL ONCE AGAIN!! Thank you SO much for your kindness, I will forever be grateful to you and the rest of the staff for the help. You are the epitome of what excellent customer service is all about.

This place is a step above camping. Not well maintained at all. Bathroom of house drained into the yard. Cabin was full or bugs. Bathroom door stuck so kids couldn't open it. It's not pretty like in the photos.

This place is in very bad shape, you can tell it is not maintained at all. Our bathroom was dirty and our feet were black from the tile floor. I truly believe the floor had not been mopped in several stays as there was something sticky I cleaned up and the paper towel was black. The white brick wall in our room had. stuff splattered all over it. The AC unit was very very loud and old. This place could be so nice but not even the basics are done. It is very obvious the owner does not care about quality/service only the money.

This motel/resort is dated, but the important thing for us is that they are definitely trying to improve things. We stayed in a room facing the little lake/pond and it had been recently redecorated. Also, they punched a hole in the wall and combined two older rooms into a two-room suite. There's a lot of work that still needs to be done, but we had new carpet, paint and a kitchenette. We had no bars on the Wi-Fi, but our friends' unit did. You can see they are trying to improve things.

This motel was just terrible. The folks working there were pleasant enough but mostly incompetent and the property itself was in rough shape. Specifically: 1. They checked us into an occupied room. We walked right into somebody else's space and things. Glad they weren't there, or we might have seen something we couldn't unsee (or maybe got shot). Once we tracked the manager down in the bar she took us to a different room. No apology or anything. 2. Room #2 had plumbing problems. The toilet gurgled and burped all night. By the morning it was clogged and filled to the brim. Disgusting! We took all our belongs with us for the day (didn't want them to give somebody else our room and have them take it all) but when we returned in the evening there was a sign on the door that we had been relocated to another room due to maintenance issues (very stinky issues!) with a big smiley face on the sign. I'm not smiling. 3. Neither door was shut or locked on room #3. The security bolt was broken, there was no toilet paper and there was a big hole in the ceiling, no soap in the bathroom. 4. Upon returning home we contacted the motel about our issues. They gave me a different phone number to call saying "Susan will take care of it for you". Number always went to voice mail. Left 6(?) messages over 2 weeks but never got a call back. This place is a poorly run dump. We'd have been more comfortable and secure sleeping in our truck. The management is unresponsive and uncaring.

Music is great! Food is fantastic! And the rooms are large, and comfortable. Each room has a coffee pot with a well stocked selection of coffee, creamers and sweetners as well as a microwave and small refrigerator. Or if you want more privacy, rent a cabin. The scenery is to die for. And the locals are fantastic. Definitely my go to place when I want to relax.
