Stayed here for my daughters wedding, which was held here as well. I had stayed here years ago and the place was run down. They have done a marvelous job refurbishing the place, updating the venue while maintaining the original splendor of the building. A single room is a bit small, but cozy. The suites are very spacious with a... More

Great place to stay to explore downtown Buffalo. We loved the beautiful renovation of this historic hotel, the spacious and comfortable room, great service and excellent coffee shop in the lobby. They are successful with providing modern comforts and maintaining many historical features.

I had my wedding at hotel Lafayette a few weeks ago. The hotel was beautiful and accommodated us well. The catering aspect is owned separately and Molly the owner is terrible to deal with. I had the grand ballroom the night of my wedding and they "gave away" the Chavari chairs to the other 2 receptions and left me with... More

The hotel is beautiful. We had to wait in the lobby until the reception room was ready. I asked my husband to go to the bar and get me a drink. He just laughed and said "its a coffee bar". The wedding was beautiful and the reception room was quite nice. The staff was a bit unorganized when it came... More

We decided to go to Buffallo for the holiday weekend. It is a easy ride to Niagra with out all the crazy tourists every and save money. It is also close enough to to some great beaches on Lake Erie. We also LOVED Ollicott Beach and amusement park for the 4th. Fabulous town for families with small and elementary aged... More

This hotel is a large and old that has a modern decor of grey/silver which does not suit this building. The staff were young. The breakfast was awful, so we ate out. Our toilet broke and when I phoned down to reception to inform them, they said that they could not do anything until the next day. I feel I... More

This is a great place for a wedding. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. Check in and out is a breeze. Free continental breakfast the next day was filling and tasty. Room was clean with plenty of modern upgrades. Valet was quick and easy as will. All around it was a wonderful stay.

If you are at all interested in historic architecture, The Hotel @ The Lafayette (built in 1904 is a great place to visit. It's original features (high ceilings, wide hallways, ornate fixtures) have been nicely preserved and are a joy to experience. The room we stayed in (Junior Suite) had been nicely redesigned and modernized with a contemporary design feel,... More

Buffalo has much to offer. Food, art, architecture, sports! The Knox-Albright art gallery is superb. The Frank Lloyd Wright houses are wonderful. A city on the way back. Really a very pleasant surprise. We had driven through many times without stopping. A mistake for sure.

We wanted something different than the typical chain hotel when visiting Buffalo. Heard about this hotel from friends who stayed there. It's simply unique in design. Buffalo has several stunning Art Deco buildings in the downtown area, and this is one of them, built during the cities glory days. Like many say, it's a bit dark and has some rough... More
