Great rooms with a good layout and fantastic view (including microwave, fridge, etc.). The shower had great water pressure, and the Jacuzzi tub was also clean and was a great way to end each day. The experience was wonderful. Bars and fast food close, the fitness center is open, the pool is closed due to Covid-19. The staffs were more than accommodating and tried everything they could to make our stay enjoyable!
One of, if not the most, important part of a hotel stay involves the guest arrival experience. The main reason you get a digital key, for example, is to be able to arrive at a property and proceed directly to your room in as easy a manner as possible. When you arrive at this hotel, what you'll find is the following: 1) A limited drive up area with no available parking in which you may unload your belongings. 2) No valet to assist you in parking your vehicle (contrary to the website). 3) A gauntlet of smoking guests to walk past in order to get in the facilities. 4) An entry area with steps and an unmarked ramp that you most likely won't notice when you arrive. Wheels were put on luggage in 1970. This property was built in 2009. Stop making steps the centerpiece of your entry way. People don't want to drag wheeled luggage up steps. You'd think this would be obvious by now. Because there's no place to park and no valet, you have to figure out where to park your car. You can take your chances on the 20 space lot behind the building, or, once you find a front desk person who can actually explain to you where the parking deck two blocks away is (and enjoy that walk during a Buffalo winter), you can park the car yourself. The room itself? Ok. The couch is comfortable, the room is spacious, the shower and tub is appropriate for persons of size and height and the amenities are fine. You're probably hoping to be insulated from noise while you sleep but sadly no, this property fails to keep out noise from neighboring rooms, the hallway or from constant construction outside. The hot water pipes emit a high pitched squeal from months of no use and the whir of the mini-fridge sounds like a mildly inconvenienced owl is staying in your room with you. Speaking of sleeping, I'm not sure which prison these mattresses were purchased from, but they manage to pull off the feat of being both stiff and unsupportive. The back spasms they induced during both nights of my stay were indicative of the standard Hilton lack of bedding quality. You'd probably like some degree of housekeeping service during your stay. I wish you luck. Our 11 hour, four person quest to simply have additional towels and cups provided during the room was fruitless. The television offered 90 channels of entertainment. There was no guide, however, so good luck flipping through all of them to find something to watch. Even grading on a COVID curve, this stay was pointless. This property offers nothing of value other than proximity, and there are other choices downtown that are better. Service is non-existent, parking is incredibly inconvenient and the sleep quality is very poor. It looks pretty, so that's worth a star. But there's no value or quality for the money here, and you should stay elsewhere.…
Travel for the three ion my group called for an overnight in Downtown Buffalo, and the Embassy Suites fit our bill, for sure. From the friendly front desk people, to the valets, to the food service staff, everyone was on their game, efficient and pleasant without fail. The suite that we occupied was perhaps a little tired, but everything was in working order, tv cable channels were varied, great water pressure in the bathroom, and the housekeeping was good. Buffet was copious, the omelette chef was pleasant and prepared a delicious one, indeed. Location was great, walking distance to some great restaurants and the light rail made it a perfect spot for what we needed. The rate for what was delivered made it an outstanding value for the price charged.
We had a very nice time at this place. The rooms were very good as well as plenty of space. The breakfast in the morning was great. During the night the staff was very accommodating and helped us with whatever we needed. The only problem was during check in there was a group of families with girls for cheerleading competition and it took a long time getting checked in.
For business travelers schedules change day to day, hour by hour. Being inflexible with your cancellation fee is not good business. For the second time in two weeks, I've had to change my charges travel. Booked at Hilton properties, I called to see if I can change the reservation or have the fee waived to no avail. This last time, the reservation person kept me on the phone for over 20 minutes before finally telling me they would not waive the fee. I'm not wasting more of our company's money. No more Hilton properties for my travelers.
