Our room provided the basic necessities for a comfortable overnight. The Room was small but included a clean bathroom & shower with nice towels, soap & shampoo/conditioner. The Air Conditioner worked well and kept the room comfortable. The bed linens were clean. Our Queen bed was comfortable and we slept fine. There is not much unused space, so one of... More

This place is very outdated and needs an upgrade. Do not expect much for your stay here. Over prices for what you get. Far from all the action on the other side of town. Try the Badlands Motel instead.

As long as one is aware of what this place is before booking, I think it's absolutely sufficient. If you come expecting the four seasons (or even a holiday inn) you'll be sorrily disappointed. But if you realize that medora is lacking in upscale lodging and that this is as cheap as it gets around here, you'll be happy to... More

If you go in with the right expectations, this place could work for you. It is basically a double wide trailer converted into motel rooms. It's clean, has a bed, bathroom and shower. That's pretty much it. No alarm clock, no hairdryer, no flatscreen TV, no amenities to speak of. I would have rated it higher, but our rate was... More

I booked a family unit at the Bunkhouse Motel for my husband, brother, mom and I for one night to celebrate my mom's birthday in Medora. My first choice was the Rough Riders Hotel but it was completely booked. My husband and I knew going into the weekend that the rooms in the family unit would not be fancy, however,... More

I get the whole cowboy theme, but this was like living in an army barracks for 90 bucks a night. No hairdryer, no blackout curtains and dawn is at 5 AM, no in room Wi-Fi, no coffee cups in the community area, even though we asked. The room is small, minimal lighting and there are 10 rooms that are accessed... More

People on here tend to give this place a bad rep but I was pleased with our stay. Clearly most people who review it are used to luxury places. This is by no means luxury but it gives you a simple place to stay for the night. Our room was quiet, we had the pool to ourselves. It was great... More

Yikes. This little town is so small. There's really no food. Be ready to eat poorly. The hotel options are also slim pickings. The Bunkhouse is cheap and you get what you pay for. Remember to bring snacks and sandwiches so that you won't be hangry while you're here in this clean but not so nice place to stay.

Good value option. I have stayed at the Rough Rider Hotel before and enjoyed it. I was a bit apprehensive in booking the bunkhouse. I was pleasnatly suprised. The room and bathroom were small but clean. I never heard outside noise as a few others have stated. I thought it to be a great value for a one night stay... More

This was the only room left in town. The room was rather old and a little musty smelling but it was clean and served its purpose, to rest for the evening. There is a really soft queen size bed, tv, bathroom(with a tub/shower). You are provided with linens/towels and soap/shampoo.
