First class rooms to compliment a wonderful restaurant and old west saloon. The staff was great to our conference. We could not have been happier with the conference rooms and the catering was top notch

Just a quick walk or drive away is the entrance to the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The location of this hotel is great for its proximity to the park and for walking to a number of restaurants and bars. We stayed for one night and found the room to be a very good size, with a comfortable...

Pleasantly surprised by both the facilities and service levels given the locale and competition. While not a Peninsula or Park Hyatt, RRH certainly excels and outshines all the competition within hundreds of miles. Simple breakfast was done exceedingly well - e.g., scrambled eggs were done perfectly, unlike most rubberized hotel offerings. The homemade bread pudding was very nice touch. If...

Surprised to find ourselves back at the Rough Rider this year. Last year was during high season, but this time was in September after Medora had pretty much shut down. Our room this time was rather small and cramped. Only one suitcase holder and not much room for the other case. No surface area in the bathroom to lay things,...

Although most every place in Medora is closed, the Rough Riders Hotel is not. Rustic and western stands full of wood and history. Located in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, I really enjoyed my stay in one of the original rooms from the 1880's

We really enjoyed our visit to Rough Riders. The off-season rate ($99) was very reasonable. They served a good, free breakfast with hot and cold options. I especially appreciated the complementary coffee that was out most of the day. Medora was quiet on Thursday and Friday, but busier on Saturday. Some places were still open - two restaurants, some gift...

We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed already for the season, but the "continental breakfast" more than made up for this since it included cheesy eggs, scrumptious bacon, and perfectly crisp hash browns! Room was great: bed and sheets were soft! Lovely stand up shower. A warning to those who need background noise- not available here.

What a wonderful place! Rough Riders Hotel (in October) is somewhat quiet, VERY relaxing, extremely convenient, and complete with everything important to me. My room was very nice, everything looked fresh and new, and equipped with a small refrigerator. Beds are comfortable and the decor is very pleasing and restful after long days catching sunrises, sunsets, the turning cottonwoods, and...

The hotel, the town and the park are all hidden treasures. So glad to have discovered them all as we finally visited our 50th state. The walk-in shower was a plus. Great makeover. One day my husband and I would like to go back to visit longer

This is a great place to stay when visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Hotel has a lot of charm, especially the lobby with library and fireplace. Complimentary breakfast is adequate. Dinner at the TR dining room was very good- service was excellent. Town of Medora very nice as well.
