The Rough Riders Hotel is an A1 hotel; very clean & neat, friendly staff, large bedrooms w/refrigerator & microwave, WIFI, ice/vending machines close to your room, & restaurant in the Hotel. Within walking distance to historic places. Very enjoyable stay.

After staying in small town motels, this is a welcome change. Very comfy beds, great shower and 2 comfy reading chairs to sit in while editing your pictures for the day is a welcome change. Go in the "winter " for a cheaper rate and cooler temperatures,

There is nothing "Rough" about the Rough Riders Hotel. The hotel has been extensively renovated in the last 8 years. Rooms are large, well-appointed, with beautiful bathrooms. The restaurant is a tad expensive, but good food and ample portions. Great location in tiny (pop 112) Medora, right next to the South Unit of Theodore Roosevelt Natl Park. We thought the... More

Be sure to plan well in advance if you hope to get into the Rough Riders Hotel. We stayed here for two nights in Mid-September and enjoyed our stay a lot. The room was comfortable and clean and expect to pay +$200 a night. The restaurant is pricey, but very good. The hotel is centrally located in Medora (a tiny... More

Love Teddy Roosevelt? Then the Rough Riders hotel in Medora by the entrance to Theodore Roosevelt National Park is for you. A bit expensive but worth it. Good location and much TR history. Restaurant is pricey but there aren't any other "nice" restaurants in town.

My wife and I spent our anniversary here and the entire experience from the park to the dinner to the hotel was perfect. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are extremely comfortable. Words cannot express how great an experience this was. We obviously liked it.

Attended a wedding in Dickenson and decided to take in the Theatre at Medora on our way home. If you like unusual landscape, a drive through the Park is a Must! The town is so fun to ramble in, our lodgings were great the Play is great. What a way for a small community to capitalize on their surroundings.

After a grueling 8 hr drive, we were pleasantly surprised to find out how nice these rooms were. Beds were relaxing, bath was awesome and the hotel has a sense of history that is appealing. While I miss the historic restaurant - this updated hotel was worth it all. Staff are gracious and attentive putting the cherry on the topping.... More

This is the only place to stay in Medora. He history is amazing. Teddy Roosevelt stayed here as a young man and the rooms are a tribute to him. The lobby is beautiful, the rooms are clean and decorated appropriately and we had an excellent stay. The lobby has a case of artifacts which was really interesting.
