Medona is a great experience. The motel us 'old fashioned' but newly renovated. The rooms are equal to many hotels available today. Wish there was food on site but there are several great places to eat within walking distance. Lots to do in the area. Front desk personnel were not very friendly but seemed efficient.

We spent the past weekend there. We travel to Medora every 3-4 years as a family mini trip. We were pleasantly surprised with the updated/remodelled Badlands hotel. The renovations were much needed and made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Pool was nice and clean and the kids enjoyed it. We visited the Bunkhouse... Stayed here a night while visiting the adjacent park. Nice renovated rooms and a clean well kept property. Wi fi was spotty in our room but worked fine near the office. Staff was helpful and we did not arrive with a reservation. Was well priced in comparison with other properties in town but not inexpensive. Very handy to the Town... More

The beds are only twin size NOT queens! We try to come at least once a year but usually rent a cabin. We took my mother this year for her first vacation anywhere. She loved Medora but unfortunately we will not stay at the Badlands again. The bed are way to small for 2 adults. I wish we would have... More

We typically do not stay in motels because of bad past experiences, but I booked this location in Medora because it was the only one in town with an outdoor pool and had decent TripAdvisor reviews. The kids and I were so glad we stayed here! The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable (pillows could have used a... More

Pleasant surprise~newly renovated!! Beautiful interior, exterior, clean, quiet!! Pool, Mini golf, front desk bends over backwards to help guests with random requests. Next to shopping, large kids play set, and downtown. Pack a picnic-food options in town limited, but GREAT motel!! Coming back again!!

Stayed here on a motorcycle trip and was very satisfied with my room. It had been renovated and was in great shape. I stayed there two nights and got a good night sleep both evenings. It is a motel so don't expect a big lobby but if you want a clean place to sleep this would be it.

We were excited to stay in Medora on the way home from our vacation out west. We called and booked through the 1800 number for Medora. About fifteen minutes before we pulled into town we were called and asked if we would switch to another hotel, a cabin in Buffalo Gap, and this would be complimentary. They explained that they'd... We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of our room. Everything was brand new and clean. I also like being on the edge of town under the badlands. This hotel exceeded my expectations. Highest recommendation in Medora.

We knew there was no microwave or fridge in the rooms so weren't surprised. One can use the microwave in the hotel lobby. Our room was very clean and the place was quiet even though there were many guests there.
