Sink was chipped, bathroom water was spewing multiple directions, AC didn’t work, bed super uncomfortable, staff unwilling to provide a late check out, and I’m a Diamond member on top of it all, staff was very unhelpful for everything, no answer on the phone, had to text them! And it still took forever for a response.

Hotel's Favorite
My stay at the DoubleTree in April 2021 was fantastic. This is a great full-service hotel that cares about its guests and their safety during the pandemic. Pros: – The DoubleTree is in a nice quiet area but has quick access to I-17 and I-40 along with the rest of Flagstaff. Safeway grocery store is within walking distance. – Rooms are comfortable and the bed was one of the best hotel beds I’ve slept in. Huge TV, but was not provided with a remote that could change input – called the front desk and they had one sent up. Room 302 in the main building has a nice view of the trees behind the hotel, and a little extra space behind the curtains to make it feel larger when they are open. Didn’t hear much noise at night other than doors slamming and I did hear the upstairs shower and footfalls on the floor in the morning. No noise from outside the hotel though. Bathroom looked newer with plenty of light. – Dining was awesome! I ordered sushi from the restaurant in the evening and they called my room when I could pick it up (or they offered to have it delivered). Good sushi with more fish than rice – a plus with sushi restaurants. Breakfast was good, socially distanced, and food was flavorful. Lots of options on a limited menu to suit any taste. – Staff was wonderful the entire stay – from the front desk to the exceptional service at breakfast. They were always pleasant and quick, even when the restaurant filled up. Kim, my server, was very sweet in the morning. Props to the staff at this hotel for making it feel like a welcoming home away from home. – I never felt worried about cleanliness or safety during my stay. The restaurant staff was cleaning tables with what smelled like bleach after each party left. Room was sealed and everything appeared sanitized upon entry. Cons: – Rooms and bathrooms are smaller than they appear in the photos, and a bit worn (furniture had some marks and stains). Bring your own pillow if you like pillows with substance. – For it being 2021, I would expect more out of the TV options. The only guide was from DirectTV that scrolled through all programming with no way to select what to watch other than changing the channel. It felt like 1990 where you would tune in to the scrolling guide. In addition, some channels went out during my stay. – Showerhead is a bit on the short side, and hot water took a while, but it did get hot. Sink had some gunk on the faucet. Bathroom had a few rust stains near the floor of the shower. The staff, bed, and quietness outweighs any cons. This was a great stay and I would definitely come back to this hotel and highly recommend it to others.

Stayed for 1 night. Had 2 rooms. Both rooms were very clean. They had hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes to use when getting on the elevator. I would recommend trying to get a room on the top floor. I was on the second floor and the people above me woke me up whenever they walked in their room.

This was a nice hotel in a good location. The staff were friendly and the cookies warm and delicious. We weren’t given (or offered) complimentary water like most other locations, but that’s not a huge deal. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. We were a little annoyed you have to sign up for Hilton Honors in order to get free wifi. I know signing up is free, but it’s still inconvenient and unnecessary.
